Can we just give this crap up, the citizens assembly reccomended replacing or amending the 8th .
Also abortions should never be free on the NHS / HSE , private clinics or life threatening cases only.

Women pay taxes, USC and PRSI. They’re as entitled to free healthcare as idiot smokers with lung and mouth cancer who get chemo on demand.

So treatment and healthcare procedures should be based on contributions and whether you inflicted your own condition on yourself?

You’re behind the times, SH; women are already using abortion pills within the first three months without having to ask an authority figure to judge on their right to their bodies.

(Surely the only person, even if mythological, to inflict the condition of pregnancy on herself was the Virgin Mary?)

From the above three comments one could devise a trickle-down theory, as it were, of negative reactions to pro-choice activism starting as inane churlishness, dripping down to nasty hostility and finally sinking into outright misogyny. Unless mahoney’s comment gets deleted, in which case you’ll have to take my word for it.

I don’t see any comment from a ‘mahoney’. Did it involve the appearance of some of the protesters at all? That’s usually a ‘cogent argument ‘.
