The appointment of Heather Humphreys was Enda Kenny’s greatest insult to the arts in this country.

should he have left the gig vacant

cause you could easily have had Regina or Mary Mitch

Are you suggesting appointments to senior roles based on which county a person comes from is a bad way to run things?

Tell you what, lads. I look at ‘the news’ as promulgated by RTE, I look at twitter. I’m pretty sure most of you do likewise. Loads of us now know the score – and how very unacceptable the current situation is. I ask you, will we continue to hold still for this? and, if so, WHY? It simply isn’t good enough to condemn Coppinger for being ‘sour faced ‘ and refusing to be ‘happy clappy ‘. I’m asking ” are we satisfied with this? If not, what are WE going to do about it? ” As a much maligned ‘coffin dodger ‘ I await the instruction of the young, which I will support, if at all possible.

Bit arrogant to think that your opinion represents the majority, or even a large minority, my man.

      Elections proved it doesn’t.

Bit arrogant of you to assume that there aren’t lots of people who share his opinion. It’s also highly childish of you to respond with that kind of tribalism as opposed to commenting on the opinion itself.

I apologise for my hubris, oh valued ‘happy’ contributor. I am, however, allowed to ask a question, ? If nobody replies, then fair enough.

…the last Taoiseach who did any positive for the Arts was Charlie Haughey…the appointment of Heather Humphries seemed to be a bit of residual contempt and vindictiveness on the part of Enda…

Ignore Harry. He’s a bit grumpy today, clearly. How are you, my dear?

You seem a bit less than your usual charming self, and so I assumed.

You know what they say, when you assume…

Don’t think much of that last image:

Dancing with the Stars without the Plough.

You’re on 4% and you know it.

Enda bears an uncanny resemblance to the lesser-spotted, blue-shirted penguin.

    Or is it just me?
