“I was not me, it was the power” – J.H Christ., it doe’s make one wonder about the world.

It does. But it also makes one wonder about the guards feeding her confession statement to red tops for salicious enjoymentZz

true story: i knew a guy who knew a guy who, in high school, was stopped by a cop for underage drinking. he “felt the power come through his arm” and brained the cop. he got done, no philosophical questions about self and identuty permitted. (and no, that’s not a tricky way of saying that it was yours truly.)

sorry memes. I usually write as I walk or am on the jacks. I would never draft you a hand written letter like that. Just so you know.

            Yer cool Harry.
            Take it easy…

It’s gonna take me ages to eat TWO breakfast rolls, and sure by that time Helen I’ve have forgotten your name.

            Relax Henry.

… says the person that just made a light-hearted reference to the stabbing death of an infant

          1. bisted

…nothing light-hearted about infanticide…someone of your erudition Rob;G will recognise my comment as coming from a macarbre Dublin street song about the subject…

          2. Rob_G

I recognised your using an actual case of infanticide to reference a song on the same topic, yes. Hence ‘light-hearted’.

Excuse me, but shouldn’t the (next) question we’re asking be about mental health…
    …I mean…
    …eh…
    .
    – ‘If a Doctor can’t …’

    Hang on… Iraq… Sudan…
Is that a veil on her head?

    Carry on…

My philosophy is one I came up by meself.
The only thing you’ll ever need to know is that you know nothing.’

I’m pretty sure nobody ever said it before.

Suicide rates among junior doctors are quite high, I believe, so no, being a doctor doesn’t provide any great protection of one’s mental health.

        Sorry… Melty…
        I accept your point, but…

I was referring to access to treatment. Working in a hospital is different to passing by a hospital on the bus on your way to soul-destroying work.

I never meant to be facetious, but I see a lot of broken people and I don’t work in a hospital.

I just get angry about it and wait at my bus-stop.

    “Squeezing rich ‘harms economy’ “

Don’t have a URL for it, but the Sunday World are reporting that Paul Murphy claimed his €80-a-day Dáil expenses each day that he appeared in court during the Jobstown trial.

Between that and all the fundraisers*, it seems like the trial was a handy nixer for him, he should stage “peaceful” protests more often.

*even though all defendants availed of free legal aid, including Murphy, who earns €87k

      1. Rob_G

The Sunday World are no slouches, I’m pretty sure that they uncovered the Ivor Callelly mobile phones expenses scandal.
