    1. Yeah, Ok

Scotland has a population of 5.3 million. It has 27000 designated “homeless” and 1800 rough sleepers.
Ireland has a population of 4.8 million. It has 7000 designated “homeless” and approx. 200 rough sleepers.

While we have a problem with housing, your whingeing about homelessness on every single post is neither helpful, honest, or valid. I would go so far as to say that our numbers for rough sleepers are probably within the range of unavoidable in any society with average levels of drug use, substance abuse, and mental health problems. There will always be these types of homeless people. We owe it to them to help, but as the stories of deaths of rough sleepers regularly affirm, these people are often there despite plenty of assistance and opportunity to get out of it.
The people we are failing are the 7k in hotels and family hubs; the ones who we can get into houses if we built social housing at the rate we should. Conflating rough sleepers with the figure of 7000 homeless is disingenuous and calculated to fuel the homeless industry and associated vested interests.

Belgium is far from drab! One of my favourite countries.
Beaches, battlefields, Bruxelles and Bastogne. Would live there in an instant.
