Gerry Meandering

at

Sinn Fein Party President Gerry Adams, leader of Sinn Féin in the Northern Ireland Assembly Michelle O’Neill, and Mary Lou McDonald TD at the annual Sinn Féin away day meeting, which takes place today and tomorrow in the City North Hotel.

At a two-day internal conference in the Irish Republic, Adams told party activists he wanted to implement a “planned process of generational change”….

….There have been strong hints that Adams may seek to run for the Irish presidency when the elections are held in the autumn of 2018. The largely ceremonial post is traditionally held by people who have retired from, or are outside active politics.

If Adams stood for the position of head of state he would undoubtedly face serious questions about his alleged IRA past, including a number of atrocities during the Troubles. Adams says he has never been a member of the IRA.

It’s hilarious that people think if Jarry moves on, somehow Sinn Fein will become respectable to voters. One man with a dubious past retires. but the party is still riddled with members and supporters who cheered the likes of Pearse McAuley and condoned a lot of “political” post office and bank robberies. Not everyone is falling for putting the clean, young, non-killer members to the forefront.

@Daisy So what you are saying is robbing banks is a bad thing ? I honestly dont know what to think anymore, The wife and I are doing our very best to save up and move somewhere thats more concerned about society rather than economy.

I dont know much about SF, but to be honest I fear the establishment far more than I fear SF…

Murderous ‘political’ drug-gangs robbing the banks to fund weapon and drug purchases is not the solution to an overly financialised society.

Electing someone that doesn’t recognise the legitimacy of a state as its head of state…

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Jarry’s probably waiting for Craughwell to make his presidential move to cause an election so he can run for SF.

Blowing up civilians, robbing banks and shooting anyone who gets in your way, torturing people who wouldn’t comply with your smuggling, executing those who helped wounded teenage soldiers etc etc etc, these are all things which are forgivable and we should stop living in the past*

*Does not apply to fine Gael politicians or bankrupt businessmen in which case it is perfectly acceptable to sincerely wish them a painful death.

Adams will be gone and a lot sooner than expected, but SF are here to stay and will
gain more ground north and south, their northern political foes have come to terms
with it, but their political foes in the south have not….what its all about is privileged
positions. pensions, and like back in 1922 who would have the status of government
car, or a uniform…..and come to think of it those that are of the FF and FG hue had
just as many gunmen and bank robbers in their ancestral ranks as the the Adams
Family, whats was worse when they got power they executed their former brothers
in arms without judge or jury…..just wait till we get to 100 years anniversary in 2022 -2023
