The Mayo homecoming, even the tone of the communication, makes me sad. I hope they bring the Sam home one day.
(And beat Kerry or Tyrone in doing so.)
I saw it being brought into a pub in Capel st around 10:30 by a barman. Didn’t see any of the team there.
There are a good few Sams
Although if it was the boars head it might well be the ‘real’ one
??
Like replicas you can buy online sort of thing?
I suppose I should have known but this completely destroys a particularly good memory :(
The Boars Head? The winning team usually go there the morning after to continue the celebrations. They must stink at the childrens hospital
4.50pm – Sadness
The Sam Maguire itself is very valuable, and is transported around by a security guard. So, if a Dublin player visits your school and has it in the boot of his car, its probably one of the replicas.
ah – that was meant for Brother B.
That you, Rob
No bother :)
(I meant “Thank” you, of course)
Nobody ever remembers number twos except diarrhoea and Mayo.
