A 1958 Porsche 550A Spyder – known as ‘The Giant Killer’ in the course of its illustrious racing career when the 1.5l flat four engine laid waste to Ferraris and Mercedes with twice the power.
James Dean met his untimely demise in just such a car – but not this one – a rare mint condition race winner that competed at Le Mans and the Nurbergring 1000km.
Currently up for auction – price to be set by the bidders.

I know it’s a cliché but James Dean really was the coolest, most handsome man who ever lived wasn’t he?
Most of the photos of him look like they could have been taken last week, his look is that timeless.
Serious question Bertie…
– Did you attend a British Boarding School?
Don’t you be worrying about what I did or didn’t do memes.
I rest my case.
No further questions.
Matlock(ed).
‘Matlock(ed).?
Is that a terribly forced and obscurely terrible joke or did your cat just walk across your keyboard?
I don’t get it.
A lot of what you just said could be applied to me, actually.
For me, your greatest strength is your humility :)
Thank you.
definitely Boarding School butties
are we back to that soggy biscuit conversation ?
If we’re not, we should be.
I think I learned rebellion from Dean, rather than fall in popular line with the adoration of his looks. Also realised that I could be Dean, despite my gender, in those jeans, white T-shirt, red bomber jacket and docks and fag in the mouth. Just like Jett Rink, I WILL stroll up to redacted’s porch one day and punch him in the face.
BTW.. I am among you. Im.the dazed lady wandering the streets staring everyone out of it. Wow this place looks different, and sunny too
