actually Trump was behind this one – all that pretending he doesn’t believe in climate change stuff, it’s merely for show and part of his arch-plan

funnily enough I heard Ivan Yates pooh, poohing the orange-alert issued by the met office yesterday evening, so it wouldn’t surprise me if his complacency was echoed by his former blushirted colleagues in power..

      1. barelylegal

Well Ivan yates is a poster boy for those types isn’t he dav?

a complete bluffer, bser and failure at everything he touched

retire with big fat ministerial pension to ‘concentrate’ on completely screwing up his business

then run away at the first sign of trouble and expect the taxpayer to pick up the tab for his failure

then come back and profit off his nepotism and personal contacts as if nothing ever happened

sure no bother t’ya wink wink Ivan ye’re a decent lad

is there a more quintessential FFG ‘insider’? (other than our very own Dan and Derek?)

      Perhaps.

But we need to reserve some ire for our woefully inept and chronically incompetent local authorities. They always seem to get a free pass every time. Loads “employed”, many millions spent every year and SFA to show for any of it.

And we just accept that that’s the way it is.

The real danger here is that more and more of these country people are going to up sticks and come and live in Dublin.

        1. Go A Way

Yes – I’m really stuck for mates if you wanna know the truth. So you’ll have to do for now.

Also it’s my New Years resolution to be good and kind to all

          1. Killian G

Actually scratch that. I had momentarily forgotten about your cruel and barbaric mental health jibe at Daisy Chainsaw just before XMAS and again at Clampers Outside just this morning. Your a wicked and mean man who deserves nothing but pain and isolation.

I will get back to you later regarding our pending friendship. I need time to consider.

          2. Go A Way

I took no jibe at either Clampers or Daisy FWIW.
The latter was a polite inquiry. As for Clampers I’m sorry I even thought to reply to his posts today and I’ll at least agree with you that I think better of it now.

You made a really nasty comment to Frilly last night. Told her that you knew that it was a difficultt time of the year for her and to ” mind herself”. You are a bully. This is not the first time though you have behaved in such a fashion on Broadsheet. Tell us what your problem is. I am sure we shall be only happy to help ya.

          4. E

BarelyLegal and Go A Way are the same person. Your personal attacks on Frilly are disgusting. You really hit below the belt. Every time. You should stop it now.

          5. barelylegal

sorry E no idea what you’re on about

please leave me out of your personalised score-settling . thanks

          6. E

nothing personal about it. I just don’t like the way Go A Way behaves towards Frilly. It is vindictive. If you are not GO A Way, then you have nothing to worry about.

          7. barelylegal

Why would I need to have anything to worry about anyway?

Are you going to come around and beat me with your stupid stick or something?

As I said – leave me out of your petty squabbles. Thanks.

          8. E

Seems like I have hit the nail on the head with my stick:) You seem to be quite bothered by my comment. I am just supporting Frilly from personal attacks. If you are not Go A Way, then no need to feel so inadequate. Happy to help .

          9. Go A Way

You wind up some innocent stranger E – that’s a good way of making friends on the internet.

As for barelylegal what he/ she says is spot on- if you have a problem with me say it to me here and I’d be glad to respond – leave others out of your sad little point scoring. Happy to help.

          10. E

G I am not trying to make friends on the internet saddo. You bully Frilly. I am asking you to stop doing this.

          11. E

In case you can’t remember. Last night you said the below to Frilly. It was just really nasty and I think you should stop .

            Go A Way

            January 2, 2018 at 11:37 pm

This seems like it is a difficult time of year for you frilly – mind yourself now

          12. Go A Way

Yeah. I don’t get how you think that is being nasty in any way whatsoever. In fact putting that spin on it says more about your mindset than anything else.

#1) frilly can fight her own battles if she thinks I am unduly being offside or mean

#2) I noted Frilly has been not herself lately, over the Xmas and new year period in several posts , that’s what prompted my genuine feelings of concern. Yesterday for example she ate the face of Shayna for no apparent reason whatsoever other than taking her up wrong on something.

            Hope that helps.

Now stick to your own advice queen bee and stop bullying random strangers like barelylegal on the internet. It’s embarrassing and demeaning to yourself, and as you’re constantly adopting new usernames as well, some people may inadvertently conclude you’re some kind of troll, weirdo, stalker, control freak and/ or a combination of all of the above.

            Happy to help.

          13. E

I follow Frilly on twitter. I think she is funny. I am a 61 year man recoverding from cancer , thanks for your concern . As for the rest of your comments. You sound paranoid. I folllow Broadsheet and have seen you on it a lot. you bully many people on it. you demean yourself every day of your life. hope that helps ms. nasty.

          14. Go A Way

Christ t’night where to start with this comment!

Anyway good luck to you and to frilly, I hope your recovery continues though why you brought that up now I can’t even begin to fathom.

          1. Killian G

In contrast to the above I am willing to be your friend Mildred St. Meadowlark. We shall start out as friends and see what develops ok.

          2. mildred st. meadowlark

            Penfriends, I hope.

I can send you postcards and trinkets, and you can send me grainy b&w photos and liquorice laces.

          3. mildred st. meadowlark

            Well you’re a menace. Like a cat.

Looks adorable, is actually a harbinger of chaos and malchance.

          4. Killian G

Well one ladys fear is another ladys titillation so please allow Mildred to define her own excitement. Thanking you.

  2. edalicious

I’ve heard that all of the shops in that part of town aren’t insured for flood related damage too.

  3. Paddy at the Howth Summit

Why can’t Met Eireann use plain language and give the wind speed in KMPH or MPH? WTF is a KT to anyone except the over 65 stuffed shirts and blouses in the yacht clubs of Dun Laoghaire and Howth?
