A Limerick A Day

at

A selection of British-grown ‘pulses’, dried legume seeds including lentils, chickpeas, beans and peas

We all know it’s high time to start
Eating food that is good for one’s heart
And beans with each meal
Will soon make you feel
Fantastic. (You may also fart.)

…..but are they Organic, that’s what the folks atein’ this stuff will want to know.

Having said that my parents always spoiled a stew with a tablespoon of pearl barley and two tablespoons of lentils. I hated them then and I hate them still, the lentils and pearl barley I mean, not my parents.

I read a quote by Roald Dahl recently:
“There is a trait in the Jewish character that does provoke animosity; maybe it’s a kind of lack of generosity towards non-Jews. I mean there is always a reason why anti-anything crops up anywhere; even a stinker like Hitler didn’t just pick on them for no reason.”
      Not nice Dahl.
