Any chance of a Book of Condolence for all the innocent Israeli civilians killed by Palestinian terrorists ?
I mean,if it’s good enough for De Valera to sign Hitler’s Book of Condolence …
What exactly do these cretins think those Palestinian protestors armed with guns and knives would have done if they’d got through the Israeli border ?
The stupidity of these idiots is something to behold.
but tell us how you really feel, Bull.
There is such a bang of david off this guy, with the Hitler and the Joos, but where, oh where, did he learn punctuation so fast?
The stupidity is something to behold though, you’re right, but you’ll be ok after a lie down, pet.
Grow up keyboard warrior.
No. YOU grow up. These matters are serious and important. People can do without tools like you hoping to provoke and annoy.
what are you on about Papi?
Has the Lord Mayor ever opened a book of condolence for Israelis killed by Palestinian terrorists? No he has not.
Why is this?
Do you know the IRA’s history with the P.L.O. ?
It makes the I.R.A. and Sinn Fein feel better about their bombing and maiming. They then call themselves freedom fighters.
This guy then has the brass neck to open a book of condolence? You couldn’t make it up.
There probably would be if there had been more than zero Israeli casualties.
They hadn’t a chance of getting through. They were like lambs to the slaughter.
That was exactly what Hamas wanted you poor innocent fool.
That’s as well as may be. But the IDF didn’t have to react as they did.
How should they have reacted to thousands of protestors with armed terrorists among them trying to storm the border ?
I agree it’s a desperately sad situation but please lets not paint the IDF as always the baddies and those poor innocent Palestinians whose avowed aim is to kill ALL Jews.
it’s racist to assert that all Palestinians want to kill all Israelis.
I dunno. I’m not a military strategist. But I am pretty sure that it was entirely unnecessary to kill 60 people and injure nearly 2,500 considering the IDF is one of the best military forces in the world.
I have no love for Hamas. But this was an outrageous overreaction.
Tear gas and water cannons would have made a dent I reckon
You know, like every sane government uses to disperse a riot
Why did they go to the fence so? Hamas is manipulating them and they know no better. What is your excuse?
Shinner mayor with a book of condolences. The irony
Bull, you’re of it.
no book for the irish murdered and dispossessed by the orange over the years either. and if they don’t have one, why should the dispossessed and murdered of palestine have theirs, eh duggan.
stupid 8 month old baby getting herself killed, what an idiot.
Why would one bring an 8 month old baby to a protest of that type?
There’s no such thing as an innocent bystander no?
The child wasn’t at the protest, she was in a nearby camp – as you’d know, if you were actually interested.
Not that you’ll read this in any of the supine Irish media.
Most of those killed were terrorists.

who defined them as terrorists?
Why does Hamas exist? They didn’t fall out of the sky..
…they were democratically elected in free and fair elections in Gaza…as were the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt…but then…that result didn’t suit some people…
They exist not as a plot by ‘the sinister fringe ‘ or anyone else. They come into being when a people decide ‘up with this we cannot put ” and myriad consequences, both good and ill, flow from that. The current protesters are being castigated on this and other fora for what they do. Nobody, it seems, wants to address the desperation which makes them do it.
Talking of Hitler,on this day 75 years ago the legendary Dambusters raid took place which proved to be a vital episode in the defeat of a tyrant.
Without standing up to terrorists then and now Gerry Adams would be Taoiseach and murdering even more opponents.
Or you’d all be drinking schnapps and thinking jackboots are fashionable.

See what I mean? It’s almost, but just not quite him. Like his smarter younger brother who is taking down daithi’s dictation and writing it correctly. Either way, well done old chap, Hitler and all that!
Speaking of Hitler how about this brave chap.
Wrote his autobiography but didn’t mention that he’d been awarded the Victoria Cross.
They don’t make ’em like this any more.

imagine being arsed to create multiple personalities to wind people up on line
I’m going past f’d off to deep pity

and the children, tiny terrorists.
regardless of the blame game, who brings tinkly-pooing children to these things?
” Hey Mam,do you mind if I bunk off school today and go to the border and throw rocks at armed Israeli soldiers who are gonna at least tear-gas me,then fire rubber bullets and if that don’t work some hot lead. ”
” Yes,son but make sure you’re back in time for tea. It’s your favourite falafel and hummus. “
Paul, would you bring your kids to a demonstration that you know will result in violence?
What do you think of a parent that would do that?
I would expect that living in a place like Palestine might cause a fairly different mindset and outlook, a far grimmer and more fraught reality, and more radically different notions about safety and danger, than most of us have ever experienced or could hope to understand. We are not in a position to judge.
There seems to be quite a lot of judgement in this thread nigel
Very little of it worth anything, in fairness.
of course not, but then I’m not living through a fascist genocide so I’m not the best person to ask.
genocide? Population has increased. Not a very effective genocide is it Paul? Or maybe you don’t have a clue and believe what you read in the Guardian
And here’s our special correspondent, Andrew, on location in Jerusalem.
Over to you Drew.
Lots of blame to go around Israel/Palestine/Middle East generally. It’s the sight of a Shinner Lord Mayor getting himself some free publicity on the back of it that smells a bit.
Does he actually do anything for the Irish taxpayer who pays his salary? The broken footpaths in the city center could do with a bit of solidarity.
The only thing broken is you, change the record.Should he grab a shovel and start fixing the pavements,he doesn’t take most his salary from the state,it goes to the ehm “war effort,”oh hold on that ended decades ago,get a life loser.
“he doesn’t take most his salary from the state”
Yeah the shinners keep saying that. It doesn’t make it true though Johnny.
Lost me Andy, explain slowly how the taxpayer pays his salary, while the state runs a defecit, cheers
You’ve lost me there johnny. What is your reasoning? If the state runs a deficit then any public servant is not being paid by the state? is that what you are saying?
I thought you meant that Sinn Fein members only take the average industrial wage and give the rest of their salary to their own party?
Feeling a little overwhelmed huh, those feelings off less than are back, yes your inadequate and out your debt, palms are all sweaty, your choice wade in,I check back a little later then :)
I can’t understand you Johnny. Are you drunk?
“feelings off?”
I’m not in debt, thankfully!
Do you mean depth?
Yeah, you check back later Johnny. Good lad.
‘if the state runs a deficit’ its not a IF its a fact-given that you even don’t know that, the rest is pointless and its kinda embarrassing for you:)
but do carry on with the provo/ira nonsense, its like a bad rerun off reeling in the years…
…jeez…you wait ages for a fascist and then a (skunk)truck of them turn up at once…
I can’t remember the last time I saw a broken footpath in the city centre. Cracked, maybe.
When I hear children were killed by the Armed Forces of a Democracy , I think to myself, I dont know what thats all about , but it does not sound right, something terrible has gone wrong with the policies of that Government.
When other people hear it was the IDF, their reaction is , I dont know what thats all about , but as it was the IDF it must have been justified….
Maybe its only me, but I dont trust a word that comes out of my Governments mouth, not to mind trusting what a foreign government says while trying to justify the deaths of children…
Think to yourself… “why are hamas sending and encouraging children to a volatile and extremely dangerous border protest”
We know why. Because the IDF are happy to gun them down indiscriminately.
yes Nigel, they are happy to do that.
Come on Nigel !
I have no time for Hamas but. Having listened for decades to to ” I have no time for the IRA but “, forgive me if I’m cynical.
Sometimes dicks can be right. It’s annoying.
i knew this thread would be infuriating. anyway .. i like the dub mayor. he seems like a good hearted lad.
He’s not the worst of them, that’s for sure, but he does seem to devote a lot of time and public pronouncements to things that are nothing to do with his purview. Personally I’d rather he made announcements on his plans to solve his city’s housing crisis, rather than on the hosting of singing competitions.
The fella signing that book has some neck i tell ya!
That twisted Jew hating shinner is a disgrace
