Jordan Peterson believes violent men can be cured by the love of a good woman
A boffin who lies on the right
Has had a delightful insight:
Assign women to men
To sleep with, and then
All violence will end overnight

Jordan Peterson needs a shot round the jaw…
Sounds like you need to be assigned a female!
He needs to expand on this in an interview or something, It doesn’t look like he was taken out of context in this case but you never know. (Just don’t call Cathy Newman). He probably has lost his mind though, I know he does a lot of biblical lectures trying to promote bible stories as ancient universal wisdom. Trying to make sense of a really old insane book will send anyone mad.
He’s been reading my trashy romances. The scamp.
it’s not an entirely crazy idea though is it? I know quiet a few men who left their wayward ways behind when they settled down with a lady.
I haven’t read the article so forgive me if he supports some sort of assigned to process.
Wayward or violent??! Otherwise….
leopards don’t change their spots
at best you’ll get a 4 year honeymoon period
Four seasons and you’ll know.
I don’t think he’s talking about getting “manners beat into ye” …
and what of the fellas who beat their partners?
A coward like someone who beats others
A person who mistreats animals as well
A low life who has a big problem may it be mentally or sexually, maybe an inferiority complex
He might of witnessed it as norm as he was brought up but at the end of the day no excuse
I come from the older generation ,we were brought up to respect women to protect women to love my partner treat her as my equal, or that’s how my mother and father raised me .
Yes I am a no you are a yes
All I know once violence happens the person who starts it has lost the argument and his anger shows just how inferior he is
He might be a big strong man but inside is nothing more than a weak coward who would be the last human to depend on and guess what they know it and react with violence because they know nothing more
Basic idea falls apart if you suddenly remember that domestic violence exists.
Yeah, I read it…I still think a lady can tame the wildest heart! At the very least help a boy grow into a functioning man.
I don’t endorse his view of it as some sort of rehabilitation though.
Women try to straighten men out and men try to corrupt women. Oldest game in the book.
A wild heart is one thing. A personality disorder is a whole other ballgame.
Exceedingly fine line though, in my experience.
I knew a woman of the world who told me she used to read Mills & Boon romances during sociology lectures at college. After several years of marriage she split from her husband. There were no Jordan Peterson YouTube lectures in those days. What if?
citation needed …
In fairness to Peterson, this one line statement is made without providing any context detailing how it was said.
“I knew a woman of the world who told me she used to read Mills & Boon romances during sociology lectures at college.”
did she read the books during lectures? or tell you during lectures (that she read these books)?
that would be:
“I knew a woman of the world who told me during sociology lectures at college that she used to read Mills & Boon romances”
proper placement of clauses is very interesting
She read them during Sociology lectures because she found the dry-as-dust academic lectures otherworldly. She felt that Mills & Boon language and romantic discourse was more to the point. She graduated BA Soc. and had a successful career in business. What books, or comics or magazines, did any of you read during your university lectures?
If be reading “A river out of Eden ” or something along those lines ( DNA explained) during Art history…oops at least it was historical or Asimov
“West of Eden” by Harry Harrison? interesting look at how the world might be like if the dinosaurs didn’t go extinct – but evolved into intelligent beings;
I’ll check that out
” Sapiens ” is good too Noah Harari
Yeah, I read ‘Sapiens’ a few years ago.. the historical stuff was good.
V for Vendetta. Watchmen. I remember those series most. V in particular was formative in shaping how I think about the world.
Sandman was coming out when I was going to lectures. Got into Iain Banks and John Brunner and a load of others round that time too.
Why go to a lecture to read your Mills and Boon? That’s what coffee shops are for.
we all (men and women) get a little bit cranky when we’re not getting it
saw a questionable piece recently about how the hormones and proteins in semen is absorbed by the female and can alleviate depression, digestive tract issues among other stuff I have forgotten
They have been testing fruit flies
i’ve been telling the ladies that for years, janet
But every sperm is scared donchaknow!
We don’t shoot up schools tho.
I think Peterson means that those Incel guys shooting up schools have become that way because they’re ‘beta’ or whatever, and the ladies (liberated by feminism…or something) are mewling like cats in heat around the alphas. Or something.
He does advocate ‘mandatory monogamy’ or something. If asked I’m sure he’d say he meant a stable society of faithful marriage etc…but it kind of sounds like he’s blaming us for not wanting to pity-f*ck the incels.
So it’s our fault. Or something.
Actually, more integration of the sexes and more cooperation could probably reduce everyone’s tensions, but that’s not what Jordan means.
That is not the truth saying that Jordan Perterson lies on the right.
Yes, I would agree. He always makes the point of being aligned to neither Right or Left, he’s all about personal responsibility and not for group think. I think a lot of morons on the right assumed he was speaking for them but he’s not. You can’t really blame him for that.
I just finished reading his book. Thought it was excellent
Just started it last week, so far so good.
He’s wrong and he’s right. Wrong, obviously, that living with a woman, no matter how calm and loving, is going to change a bad, nasty, violent, narcissistic, selfish, self-entitled bollocks who’d thump a woman into anything else.
But d’you know what’s very good for unstable groups of young lads that are liable to get into trouble and fights and lose themselves? Grandmas. One of the problems of breaking up the tenements in the early years of the State and sending the tenants “to Hell or to Kimmage”, as Brendan Behan described it, was that the grandmothers weren’t brought along, and their moderating and kind influence was lost. Boys of 13 or 14 who would have been very reluctant to be “reported on to your grandmother” had no such moderation on their behaviour and went wild.
