Who designs this stuff? Scope for a great cover (see Bloomberg/Economist etc) and the Village churn this crap out.
I am pretty sure that Bloomberg/economist have far bigger marketing and design budgets to play around with.
They just need one creative designer – not a huge team and it’s nothing to do with marketing. It’s not far to come up with something that doesn’t look like a LinkedIn Profile.

Exactly. Gemma has done more journalism in her lifetime than the Irish Times team combined. And she’s harmed herself materially by doing that. No many Irish journos can say that for themselves.
