Rainbow Roads

at

Long exposure photography by Daniel Mercadante on the beaches and forests of Connecticut and also Guatemala (pix 3,4) where he and his wife Katina invited local kids to choose the locations.

The trails (inspired in part by the Mario Kart pathways of his gaming youth) are created by the simple but effective method of Daniel running around trailing a lighting rig.

Getting flashbacks here. Blue shells overhead and bananas, bananas everywhere. Poor Mario, too young to be on this road, spilling coins everywhere, crying for Peach.

I would always fact check however because I’d be the never let the truth get in the way of a story type in real life but this is the Internet

Hmm.. wiki says either 20,000 per year; or 6,000. Depending on which source is used.

Did you know Roman soldiers were paid in salt? Latin salarium, which is where the word salary comes from.
