The Times mustn’t have been invited to the launch of Celine a few weeks ago. They also must be unaware of the various direct services from Ireland to the other ports they mentioned.

I emailed him once to tell him I thought he was an excellent writer and he replied. I can’t remember what he said, though, sadly.
He had a column with the Guardian at the time.

I suppose that the reality we face now. Its sad that a lot of children are exposed to online porn so young, the effect is going straight to sexualised thinking and losing innocence of thought. Maybe some tech firm could find a way of introducing high pitched frequencies that only children can hear and embed it in the porn. Although you could just turn off the sound on your speakers. Scratch that, how about the equivalent but done visually?

i don’t hang out with too many teenagers but, from what i can tell, boys (12-17ish) have this sense of entitlement and feeling that it’s ok to pressure (maybe even coerce) girls into sex, while girls have a corresponding sense of obligation – you’re frigid or uncool if you don’t go along with it. a lot of it comes from online porn. we should be including it on the school curriculum. it’s the biggest challenge for parents today, i fear

Aye. I was talking to a teacher about sex education in an all girls’ school (it was for Junior Cert kids). The most asked-about thing was anal sex.
