The Disclosures Tribunal has resumed with Paul Reynolds, crime correspondent of RTÉ News, continuing to give evidence into his knowledge of the alleged smearing of garda whistleblower Sgt Maurice McCabe.

Also scheduled to appear today are Claire Grady, former editor of the Irish Independent; Fionnan Sheahan, currently editor of the Irish Independent; Ray Burke, of RTÉ News, and John Barrett , head of human resources at An Garda Síochána.

    Is it Ray Burke? I think Mr Burke was wrong to permit Mr Reynolds to be the sole RTE reporter to read the original Higgins report and to cherry pick aspects of it for RTE news. Maurice MC Cabe was never telling lies as reported. They now talk of resentment and stress as a result of being before the Tribunal. Maurice suffered far , far more and they should be respectful to the man .
