Do Make Unnecessary Journeys

at

This morning, at 6am.

Met Éireann issued a high temperature warning which will remain in place until Friday.

The forecaster says temperatures will rise hit 27°C in places today and rise further over the next few days.

Meanwhile…

Thirty-two!

Carlow Weather writes:

We have our first Weather Warning for high temperatures now, as it will get above 27c today. The latest charts show little if any breakdown up to and including the weekend. I’ll have a further update around lunch time with the latest information.

Meanwhile…

In fairness.

I’m still waiting on that compulsory holiday order from Leo seeing as it’s so nice and all.

A week of sun would be only deadly lads

Looking forward to all the “where’s your global warming now” posters from the snowy weather coming for their humble pie.

    1. Sentient Won

Look at Bertie concern trolling the sunshine. Still doesn’t understand the difference between climate and weather obviously.

All we need now is your mate Nigel to come along and call the sun a rapist, while offering no evidence whatsoever to substantiate the claim.

That’s the trouble with you lib-sheets: Dogma before all – Destroy the unbelievers!

      1. ReproBertie

I do understand the difference. Climate change deniers tend not to and jump in with stupid comments when we get prolonged rain or cold weather.

If you’ve a pet dog, will ye make sure they’ve plenty of water. The craythurs must find this heat awful stifling…

    1. ReproBertie

It’s not just dogs. Leave water out for birds, hedgehogs and all members of the choir.

    2. GiggidyGoo

And quit bringing them for ‘w’s’ (had to type it that way and my one knows the word ‘walkies’….aaaaah pheck it, now he’s looking at me.)
Quit bringing them for walkies on cement/tarmac – it’ll burn their paw pads

    Boo boo ’em

I’ll be making every effort to soak every bitta uva out’ve this one

We should give it a name lads
    Like the other weather freaks

    Why discriminate like

Fabulous day but I’m really looking forward to the days when Leinster becomes competitive again. The only way it’ll happen is if a couple of sides can get up to division 1 and stay there. Meath and Kildare in division 2 are the closest and there was nothing in their seasons to suggest they’ll be back in division 1 anytime soon.

          1. ReproBertie

It’s having a real impact on kids in the rest of Leinster taking up GAA while Dublin clubs are booming. That doesn’t bode well for a competitive future.

Extending Martin O’Neill’s contract was a sure sign that the FAI have no plan B. Puke football.

spin dept must be on holliers…I was half expecting another FG redalert weather central HQ performance

    1. Frilly Keane

      That’ll be t’night I’d say
Eoghan Murphy and Leo jumping off the 40 foot
      Without shorties

      Expect Speedos tho’

      1. GiggidyGoo

Have they returned the backstop podium already? It’d be handy for to announce ‘now we will jump’ every so often.

I never summer in Ireland because of the horrific weather but if this is indicative of a trend then maybe I’ll reconsider

    1. Brother Barnabas

sorry, harry, but you need to be from SoCoDu to use ‘summer’ as a verb

as a mayo man, you get to say ‘take me holiers’

      1. Harry Molloy

just to be clear, I’m from south Mayo, things and people are a little different there

  7. Huey Luas on the News

Great. That’ll get the Dublin juvie knacks moving southside … Avoid Sandycove and Killiney so. Stay off the DART.

  8. Topsy

Yellow warning – what a load of nonsense. Anything by the Met Office to keep in the limelight.

    Only in Ireland
Who are these new national emergency bafoons
We had hurricanes depicted like tornado’s smashing through middle america
We had the beast of the east portrayed as the coming of the second ice age
We had warnings scaring the crap out of people
Now a week of sunshine like the drought that hit the Sahara when it was an orchard
    Next what
We have an advert of little Seamus on the northside of Dublin walking to bray to collect rancid water from a stand pipe
Is the real reality the ineptness of who we pay our taxes to actually competently govern and run the country so to look good they have national emergency centres warning people of command gloom
Meanwhile Dublin is facing a drought comparable to one in the Sahara because it has not rained for an hour

    1. Nigel

So now we’re complaining that the Met Service is providing accurate forecasts and that it’s a waste of money? Bloody hell you’re perverse.

    2. Frilly Keane

      Here Jimmy
      You’re on prize pr1ck

      People died during Ophelia
      Driving
So it was a deadly hurricane

And having gone through the Beast from East and the whiteout it brought
I promise you people would have died because of it had it not being for the emergency weather warnings and the curfews

So go and p1ss into someone else’s crisps

      1. shortforBob

I for one appreciate that we took the weather seriously and unnecessary deaths were minimized.
MET Eirean made entirely sensible choices.
