back up there, bodger – you’re going all charger salmon on us

it’s not the quarter final yet – just the modest ’round of 16′

The team & Southgate seem like a grand bunch but I will take great joy in watching them fail tonight.

      and think they will

and if they do, only sweden and then croatia/russia to beat for a place in the final

doubt any team has ever had an easier route

yeah but three very average teams in front of them

tonight is probably the hardest game they’ll have (before the final)

The English are too full of themselves, they will be unbearable to listen to if they win the thing out. I saw one video of an England fan already getting a tattoo commemorating their 2018 World Cup win. The tans will be going apoplectic if they lose, it will be hilarious.
The endless video of teary-eyed England fans having a nervous breakdown will provide hours of entertainment.

Sweden have prevented Italy and the Netherlands from qualifying, put Germany out and beaten Mexico, who beat Germany, and Switzerland, who drew with Brazil. They’re workmanlike but effective.

At the end of the day the english lads will either be over the moon or sick as a parrot….

How many bars will be torn asunder if the English lose or if they win for that matter? Fkn lunatics.

This has been the worst day so far – football wise – nonetheless c’mon Columbia :-D

Ah last Sunday was dismal too, but this match has a cynically aggressive Colombian team (who are finally playing football as I type) and a referee who has frequently appeared out of his depth.

Last I saw, there was 90 seconds left and Ingurlund were one up. When I got home, I decided to switch on to see how the ITV pundits would have Kane and Co in the final… and It’s gone to extra time.

Out on penos, as is the tradition, again?

          I try not to.

They’re very loud, you see. And smug. I can hear them from across the pond.

Well jaysus that was tight! The Colombians were pure filth mind you and nearly knocked them off their stride. That goal in the last few seconds was fantastic though. Overall the right team came thru. Sweden next. Now there’s one for the books!

Congratulations on having the hairline cracks in your bulging sack of nationalism and masculinity papered over with wet toilet roll as a result of this sporting triumph!

I’m a sucker for a man in the uniform of a 17th century archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland.
