…the mission to prey incident has all the elements of a stitch-up…I believe it was a savage attempt to stimie any future investigation into the behaviour of ‘missionaries’ and distract attention from the dreadful revelations about abuse from the religious at home…

…is that crooked Hillary…I haven’t read her missives on grassy knolls but her reputation as a warmonger are undeniable …

We all saw how the free and balanced press operates at the Non Disclosures Tribunal… I don’t really know who I despise more out of this article. The press, Varadker or Mc Donald… how utterly depressing and amateur they all are.

Well said Ron, with you 100% !

The media is triggered into making a mountain out of a molehill. They should be more concerned with their products’ credibility.

and stop blaming the likes of us for making them look as shoddy and pathetic as they really are

and stop using the “keyboard warrior” crap
or doing the “sum’ting on the internet” brush off

The media in Ireland lost all credibility the time of the boom. They gorged on it like pigs at the trough. Then the arse fell out of their business model and they squealed like pigs. Now the better ones work for Government ministers and the rest are scattered like poorly paid click merchants across the bleeding landscape of print and broadcast.

Fair enough, I know a couple of more that have teased with the idea. Its the pension that worries them. But i stand corrected…

These comments fall into that age old category of a politician opening their mouth and the truth accidentially slipping out, leo varadkar is a very right wing politician so these kind of comments shouldn’t come as any surprise.

he made similar level gaffes during his st patrick’s day trip to the US, too. something about leo abroad letting his guard down and making a twit of himself.

        1. realPolithicks

The “gaff” is that he said this out loud. It gives an interesting insight into how people like him really think, they say one thing in public and something completely different in private.

You’re a trump supporter clamps, so I don’t put a lot of stock in what you have to say on these type of issues.

          2. Clampers Outside!

LOL! I’m a Trump supporter now am I? Cop on to yourself, not having shown support for Killary does not make one supporter of the opposing candidate of the time.

How childish, ffs grow up! :)

It is what it is clamps, I don’t know why you get so upset about it. Your persona on here changed completely during the 2016 campaign and particularly afterwards. So why don’t you just own it, you’re perfectly entitled to your views but I’m not going to take you very seriously as a result. I mean you constantly refer to Hillary Clinton as “killary” yet call me childish, its laughable.

          4. Clampers Outside!

No, my persona remained the same. You lot shifted to far left regressive identity politics, and calling people who wouldn’t get into your group think far right/alt right /Nazis like some Alebine paradox bent on an ideologically driven hate… it was a riot to behold! :)

Don’t believe me, Chomsky said it was like that, and that it has crippled the Left.
And nah…, I don’t constantly refer to the muppet as that, only the odd time to annoy fools.
            Clearly it works!

          5. realPolithicks

Why are you so angry, in the space of a couple of comments you have referred to me as childish and a fool simply because I have the temerity to disagree with you. You claim that you haven’t changed your views and perhaps you actually believe that, but if your views haven’t changed you certainly feel empowered to express them since trump came on the scene.

          6. realPolithicks

Its wrong regardless of who is advocating it and its a large contributing factor to general public distrust in politics. I voted for Bernie Sanders in the primaries and only voted for Clinton in the presidential election because the alternative to me was unthinkable. I am not a supporter of Clinton and your constant name calling does nothing but cement my feelings that you support the name caller in chief.

          7. Clampers Outside!

Constant name calling? Who called me a Trump supporter… oh yeah, you :)

I’m not angry fella. I know you are angry though, I was at the receiving end of some of your dogs abuse when I wouldn’t show support for the muppet. And here you are giving out about Leo who supposedly is doing exactly what the muppet does. Suck an egg mate.
