The Sun has a good exclusive from Trump.
Soft Brexit will kill a US trade deal.
    Taxi for Theresa May.

      1. Ollie Cromwell

This would be The Sun exclusive that every other paper picked up and is leading on in their later editions and which dominantes the morning news cycle.
Cracking interview engineered by Rupert Murdoch and “facilitated ” by Nigel Farage.
Meanwhile the SJW snowflakes protest with Baby Trump.
A clearer example of how power, influence and persuasion works in politics you couldn’t hope to find.
Still,Varadkar has always got his pal Brandy for Breakfast Druncker.

        1. ReproBertie

OK, lets look at this simply.
A fractured EU is in Putin’s interests.
Sasamach makes the EU look unstable.
May was given instructions by the EU on a soft Sasamach.
May passed these instructions on to her cabinet.
Bojo and Davis, realising the gig was up, legged it.
Along comes Putin’s creature to tell Britain that it’s hard Sasamach or nothing and that Bojo would be a good Taoiseach.
This information is passed on to the British people in arguably the lowest of the gutter press.
          Power, influence and persuasion indeed.

So, tell me again about taking back control?

        2. ReproBertie

          Lets look at this simply.
A fractured EU is in Putin’s favour.
          Sasamach helps destabilise the EU.
May left the last EU summit clear that a soft Sasamach is better for everyone.
May passed this information on to her cabinet.
Bojo and Davis, realising the gig is up, fled the village.
Along comes Putin’s creature to tell Britain that, if they want a trade deal at some point in the future, it’s a hard Sasamach or nothing. Oh, and by the way, that Bojo would make an excellent Taoiseach.
This information is passed to the British electorate via, arguably, the vilest of the gutter press.
          Power, influence and persuasion indeed.

Tell me again about taking back control?

          1. ReproBertie

What the actual fup is going on BS? I posted that and it vanished. I refreshed and refreshed and refreshed and nothing. I post it again and it’s there twice?

No edit option either so I can’t even remove one.

    1. donald

Yep listened to the tapes of the interview they seemed edited
Anyway why would the most powerful man in the world give an interview to the sun a rag famous for big tits and a rather moronic readership

  2. Ollie Cromwell

Anyone reporting Juncker drunk as a skunk at the Nato summit ?
    Nope,thought not.
This is why newspapers are dying a death from a thousand cuts by social media.
    Way to go Leo.

    1. Cú Chulainn

Who pray tell is NATO defending us from..? How many times, in say the last 500 or 1,000 years has Russia (or similar) invaded Western Europe..?

        1. Reasonably drunk, so far

          Reasonable my backside.
It might seem reasonable on paper, but you’re asking a fruitcake with extra nuts.

You know the kind of answer you’re going to get.
          – Is that ‘reasonable’?

          That’s right, it isn’t.
          Stop messin’

      1. SOQ

Of course arms is a substantial part of British manufacturing and after the Falklands, sales went through the roof. Post Brexit they be able to supply to any tin pot dictator they wish, but expect the odd mini war here and there just to showcase the hardware.

      2. Cian

Russia invaded western Europe in 1944. Granted they were attacked first. But in 1945 they didn’t leave.

        1. donald

Course they did and if they had not Hitler would of had his new world order
And thank god the free world stopped the Germans
Ireland would of just been an official slave nation
The Jews would of been exterminated I
          Gays would of been exterminated
          Slavic people as well
We would have no special needs personal as every cripple and mentally handicapped baby would of been aborted
And cian maybe you might of been exterminated before birth
And we would not have a gay tea shock

          1. donald

No not ne low historical fact
Or are you a holocaust denier
These acts did happen during Hitler’s rule in Europe
Mind you Stalin was pretty bad also responsible for eastern Europe ‘s backwardness for decades

  3. Ollie Cromwell

And De Valera was the first person into the German Embassy in Dublin to sign The Book of Condolences after the death of that nice Herr Hitler.
Irish quislings and misguided history dunderheads are alive and well today.

    1. SOQ

You have never heard the saying ‘my enemy’s enemy is my friend’ so. That principle, albeit well diluted, still applies today. If a choice has to be made between Berlin and London, Berlin will win every single time.

        1. SOQ

Ex colonists always attract immigrants from the post colonies, it is the main reason why so many black English now. That, proximity, and the attraction of another English speaking country meant a lot of Irish settled in England.

          What is your point?

          1. SOQ

Paddy IS Blighty because you’d be hard pushed to find an English person without an Irish somewhere in their background.

Seriously, do you actually think like this in real life or is it a windup persona? You have a Brexit government akin to Stevie Wonder driving a bus and you are trying to score cheap points about this nonsense?

          2. Ollie Cromwell

Nope – it’s a very simple point which you seem unable to grasp.
Because of the historically close connections between the UK and Ireland Varadkar would have achieved far more for this country had he chosen to forge an alliance over Brexit.
As it is he has aroused deep suspicions in the North and outraged many of Ireland’s traditional supporters in the UK over the minor issue of the Irish border all for his own political advantage.
The art of politics is making the best of the hand you’re dealt – he’s simply proven that Ireland remains craven and supine camp followers of Brussels.
Whatever his faults Bertie Ahern would have handled Brexit with far aplomb and skill.

          3. Cú Chulainn

We tried the ‘alliance’ idea. It didn’t work. In essence we are genetically the same people. Only very minor differences. So, the division is ultimately both sad and unproductive. It will likely stay that way so long as one side think there’s is the only way.

          4. SOQ

Bertie Ahern has made his opinions on the border very clear and are indistinguishable from Leo’s. No border is not some trivial ‘nice to have’, it is an absolute red line and supported by every single party on this island.

I find it interesting how personal your criticisms of EU and Irish leaders are yet very silent on the obvious incompetence of some of the Tory crew.

          5. ReproBertie

“Because of the historically close connections between the UK and Ireland Varadkar would have achieved far more for this country had he chosen to forge an alliance over Brexit.”
It is in the UK’s interests to make the EU look both weak and bullying while trying to court Ireland over Sasamach.

Sasamach is not in Ireland’s interests and Ireland was never more than an afterthought during the Sasamach campaign. How much time was spent discussing the border before they realised it would destroy their dreams of a hard Sasamach?

Ireland’s future lies with the EU and the Taoiseach is well aware of that. It really sticks in the craw of the Sasamachs that Ireland won’t jump to their tune.

          6. Sentient Won

            ReproBertie,

Did you ever meet an establishment talking point you didn’t slavishly regurgitate?

The EU is falling apart thanks to the globalist agenda of uncontrolled migration and the adoration of fictional financial instruments. (and becasue Junker is a power-tripping drunk)

The UK will leave the EU. Boris Johnson will be PM.

Putin and Trump will refashion the post-EU world in their own image and Putin will give Trump all the dirt on Clinton and Obama’s shady Uranium One deal.

They’re going down and there’s nothing you can do about it.

So sit back and enjoy the show!

          7. scottser

uranium one? that old breitbart chestnut? that’s been investigated by the FBI and there’s nothing conclusive to bring charges on.
jaysus, and you accuse others of being a stooge? hypocrite doesn’t even come close.

          8. Sentient Won

The same FBI who failed to charge HRC with illegal use of a private server on which she shared classified material with unknown foregin entities?

The same FBI who paid for a fake dossier to justify spying on the Trump campaign?

The same FBI whose former head of counter intelligence spent yesterday squirming under a grilling from Congress and refusing to answer their questions?

Yes, because that FBI is sooooo trustworthy.

            Expand your thinking.

          9. scottser

trump has had a wig on about the fbi ever since he fired james comey, who talked openly about russian interference in trump’s election.
but hey, go root for trump – cheer for putin’s b*tch and see how far that gets you.

  4. Ollie Cromwell

A record 125,000 foreign students have applied to study at British universities this autumn, including over 50,000 from EU, up 2% on last year.

Ah,those halcyon days of Project Fear.

  5. Ollie Cromwell

Oooh, students will stop coming to the UK after the Brexit vote because they’ll feel unwelcome said Remainers.
    Utter hogwash.

    1. ReproBertie

Hogwash you say? Yet in 2017…

“Applications from EU students for places at UK universities have dropped by more than 7% according to latest figures, a committee of MPs investigating the impact of [Sasamach] on higher education has been told.
It is the first decrease in applications from EU students to study in the UK after almost a decade of unbroken growth and will inevitably be blamed on last year’s vote to leave the EU.”

This was before the UK government’s guarantee that students registering in 2018 would be able to complete their studies irrespective of the outcome of Sasamach.

  6. Ting-Tong

you couldn’t possibly be that inadequate
what motivates your multifarious posts? a scorning from an Irish lost love?

  7. Ollie Cromwell

I hear it’s very popular with inadequate Irish people.
Well, those who are not making a nuisance of themselves in Australia or illegal immigrants in the USA.
    You’re welcome.

        1. Ting-Tong

at work, are you familiar with the concept?
how do you you have time for your plethora of postings AND your Combat 18 exploits?

          1. Ollie Cromwell

            Work ?
You’re assuming I need to work.
            So many lazy assumptions.
But I’m assuming from your inability or unwillingness to use capital letters that slothfulness and ineptitude have characterised much of your life so far.
Such a waste of an education.

          2. Ting-Tong

so you’re on the rock and roll then, thought as much. lack of capitals is both a personal protest and punishment for allowing myself to converse with profligates such as thou.

          3. Ollie Cromwell

So you’re assuming someone who is not at work is in receipt of unemployment benefit ?
Have you abandoned radical thought process as well as capital letters old sport ?

          4. Ting-Tong

radical thought was abandoned some time ago dearest. time to dissipate, client lunch and all that poppycock
be good, don’t pine too much

        2. mildred st meadowlark

Careful darling. I can see the sweat on your stiff upper lip.

You don’t want the masses thinking that you’re putting effort into your persona. That’s when you lose their respect, see.

Ireland mortgages borrowers are treated like Digicel, junk paying highest mortgage rates in Europe-why ?
Legacy lending is the govt answer, but the banks were given adequate reserves for a ‘fresh start’ so why wold new borrowers be paying for the reckless lending of the past.

‘Ireland continued to have the highest average interest rate* across the euro area on all new mortgages agreed in May, at 3.21 per cent. The rate varied considerably across countries, with the average for the euro area being 1.80″

    https://www.centralbank.ie/docs/default-source/statistics/data-and-analysis/credit-and-banking-statistics/retail-interest-rates/2018m05_ie_retail_interest_rate_statistics.pdf?sfvrsn=6

The IT has pice on Digi, but nothin new just pricing update on its junk bonds, which are in the mid 60’s range these days down from 100 when the NTMA supported them with your money.

    1. johnny

Wilbur Ross who oddly is often heralded with ‘saving’ the Irish banking sector in a spot of bother again!

Ethics ah shur no bother, welcome to Ireland wanna buy a bank cheap……..

“As a high level public official, you have an affirmative duty to protect the public trust and
serve as a model of ethical behavior. This duty includes exercising the care necessary to fully
and timely comply with your ethics commitments, and be accurate in statements to OGE
regarding the same. You will soon be filing your Annual OGE Form 278. I urge you to devote
the resources necessary to ensure that your report and all future communications with OGE are
complete and accurate. I also urge you to seek advice from your Department’s DAEO or other
ethics staff before engaging in any self-help to try to remedy any ethics-related situations that
may arise in the future. ”

@ Dave – Not a holocaust denier, no. Talk about the Irish, Indian and African holocaust, for a change.

  10. donald

    Bernie
My comment was answering cian who stated and Russia invaded Europe ,mind you they were attacked but never left or words to that extent
    I posted the truth
You accused me of a new low
And a new low what exactly was that
    My post was fact
I stated holocaust denier because it was not just Jews but all I mentioned which was a historical fact
To deny that is holocaust denial

    1. Bernie

Dave, I’m retreating, not in the mood, keeping my fieriness in check – gall stones run in my family, can’t have you boiling my bile ;-)

        1. Bernie

Donald, I dedicate the song “I’m Like A Bird” by Nelly Furtado, to you my love, because you’re like an old sick duck, clucking around for a row with anyone that passes your way.

I’m saving my bile for special occasions.

The comment you made up above that was to Cian, I think it was, about him being exterminated before birth and all the rest of it, was a shocking read. I hope you bombard the embassies of all the countries you’re up in arms over, at least that would be productive. Good day to you, sir.

  11. Bernie

SOQ, certain genetic ensembles are more prone to gall stones than others. An aunt and uncle have had them, the pain is supposed to be woeful. They are both fiery like me, so I need to watch it.

I did try a meditation class but fell asleep and snored, haven’t returned, meditating at home is good time-out.
