I must recommend Gone Fishing with Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse. It’s on BBC2 at the moment. It’s like The Trip except not as scripted and gentler. Someone said it’s also like Detectorists, which is true.

I loved the train carriage they stayed in, some gorgeous scenery in the show.
On a TV theme, Patrick Melrose is well worth watching, although it’s quite disturbing and upsetting at times.

I felt the same about BC beforehand, thought he was extremely hammy in Sherlock and so on but he’s brilliant in this, Hugo Weaving is outstanding and I seem to have fallen hard for Holliday Grainger
