Staying in?

Broadsheet on the Telly returns tonight at 10pm streaming LIVE above and on our You Tube channel.

Join old friends, familiar pets and surprise guests as we rummage in the news jar for the crumbliest, tastiest morsels from Ireland and ‘abroad’.

Topics under discussion may include Brexit,  Tuam Mother and Baby update,  drought hype, Belfast Pride  and some Disclosures Tribunal loose ends with Olga.

Salty, sometimes very fucking salty language expected throughout

Sorry.

    Hello everyone

For those watching last night, you might remember the challenge set by the brilliant, funny and absolute charming German (I know!) Marcel Kruger, about the panel pitching a book next week on the 8th Birthday Show. Broadsheet’s Bronze or Pottery Anniversary, apparently.

So, I am here to ask ye to tell me what to pitch.
It has to be an Irish Non-Fiction book. If you know of a book that is not usually found on the GAA/ Sport, Cookery or Political shelves, and is via an Irish Publisher or Irish Writer, then please point me to it.
A book that I can easily pick up this evening or first thing would also be helpful, and something less than 60k words

    No school books please.
    Many thanks everyone
    VEF

      * ‘Heaven Lies About Us’ isn’t nonfiction, I missed that requirement. Still a must-read though.

An Unconsidered People : The Irish In London by Catherine Dunne

I trust that Marcel will be overseeing the book-club weekly choices, in the interest of a fair and unbiased weekly choosing ;-)

That will be all, thank you.
