Stop It, Please

at

Belfast Rapid Transport has named a stop on the Albertbridge Road as ‘Short Strand’. A local DUP MP, Emma Little Pengally  said the name “does not reflect either the area or the history of the area in which the stop is situated” and was “clearly not a Short Strand stop”.

Colm Dore writes:

Amid other matters, like the north east of Ireland being taken out of the EU against the will of the people there, why would the DUP Westminster MP for South Belfast take this interest in the naming of a bus stop in east Belfast?

The name refers to one of the city’s oldest communities. Coincidentally, it is a nationalist community….

What is that clown Pengelly distracting us from now…laughable sectarian storm in a tea cup to distract from Ian Óg’s acceptance of Sri Lankan bribes, RHI multi-million pound scandal, dodgy £430,000 ‘donation’ to subvert electoral law in the brexit vote….take your pick..shower of clowns.

Look that lady up on Twitter, putting the name Ian Paisley Jr in there too.
    Interesting rumours.

I love doing accents when drunk. I like to morph the South African, Kiwi, Aussie, Indian and Welsh accents into one nice hotchpotch of crazy.
I’m giggling even thinking of how funny I think I am when I do it.

If you say Space Ghettos in an American accent you have the Scottish pronunciation of a 90’s poptastic ensemble!

Also, the Albertbridge Road is a long road with many bus-stops with different names e.g. The Mount, Hornby Street. The Short Strand is another area on this same road. This is a total distraction from Ian Óg.
