The Riptide Movement – Plastic Oceans
Brian Scally writes:
The concept for the video is the brainchild of The Riptide Movement’s frontman Malachy Tuohy. Featuring beautifully powerful choreography from London-based Edifice Dance Theatre and dancers Carmine De Amicis and Harriet Waghorn (top), the video is a visually compelling expression of the need for change in the way we produce consume, and dispose of the inexplicable amounts of plastic globally on a daily basis…

Plastic straws: Not a real problem.
The Kleptocrats are laughing at you.
You seem to have the inside track on all this stuff. What’s your primary source for news and facts, may I ask?
You are actually probably the thickest person I have ever seen commenting on this site; you don’t even have to believe in climate change to realise that a load of plastic getting washed into the ocean year upon year is probably bad for the fish.
Incineration ; Problem Solved.
Meanwhile you expect me to drink my Gin and Tonic with a pointless paper straw?!?
Standards Ladies, Please.
“Incineration ; Problem Solved.”
Truly the response of someone highly educated in the pros and cons of climate change right there.
How do plastic straws change the climate?
Asking for a friend.
Aside from the sheer asininity of your above comments, why would anyone drink a G&T through a straw?
And incinerating plastics is as bad as throwing them in the ocean.
To be honest, I’d drink a G&T through a mouldy gusset right now but I guess that’s irrelevant.
Ah Andy, don’t go undermining my indignant riposte with your wit/Friday lunchtime thirst.
Apols. Carry on, dearest.
Only 65 mins to go before I wet the whistle.
Have just popped the cork on a little Godello from the Ribeiro region of Galicia.
My 4 weeks of holidays start now!
Do they really use straws to drink G&Ts out in the provinces(?)
Oh my days…
I believe our charger has a new avatar, notice the cadence and sentence structure.
Also the utter gobsh@te he’s spewing.
Asking for a friend, Ha!
