Well, there’s his MP’s basic salary of £77,379 and he pulls in another £274,000 for his excellent and provocative columns in the Daily Telegraph.
So in that respect he’s having his cake and eating it.
      Marvellous,what ?

not that I want to defend Ollie or Boris but that is neither a column or the daily telegraph.

no wonder you believe every conspiracy going

Boris has-been called many things but I’ve never heard even his bitterest enemies call him a paedophile apologist.
But I suppose if you dig up a decade-old newspaper article where he specifically says he’s not supporting paedophiles and insist he’s not telling the truth it could feed your own prejudices.
Rather like the tiny minority of Muslim women in favour of wearing an enslaving burkha attacking him for being Islamaphobic for writing a column defending their right to wear a burkha.
It’s the art of taking offence and it’s practised by one or two of the usual SJW suspects on here.

Ollie, you are correct that Boris was defending the right for Muslim women to wear the niqab or burkha. However, he then went on to compare those who did so to robbers (who are criminals).

There is a lot of islamophobia already. Some of this is expressed in people ripping off niqabs and burkhas. Comparing these women to criminals does tend to encourage those who attack in this way, as well as those who would set fire to a mosque for example.

It’s about as simple as that.

Boris compared the burkha to bank robbers who cover their faces and to letter boxes.
My view is fairly simple – if you’re lucky enough to be able to live in a country that is prepared to tolerate your right to wear a garment many people, particularly the overwhelming majority of Muslims, find abhorrent and an affront to women then you should be prepared to accept that country ‘s right to take the piss out of that garment.

Mind you if he is then look at the decades of paedophile protecting Irish state political
          Individuals
Its more serious protecting them to apologising for them
Glass house mentality comes to mind in your comment

I think Boris will just be fine after brexit
Looks though our Leo and others will be in the doo doo

    An early Brexit bonus.

A new report has shown that lower levels of EU migration into Blight are already forcing employers to raise wages.

A survey of 2,000 employers by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has shown that more than half of companies have raised their starting salaries to recruit new staff whilst also increasing wages to retain those already working at the firms.

Can’t see that happening in Ireland anytime soon.
