The Nissan S30, aka the Datsun 240Z – a nifty two seat coupe produced between 1969 and 1978, was one of the best selling sports cars ever made.

UK restoration company MZR offer a basic restoration of the Classic Edition or – as above – a forty update of the Sport Design. Available as 2.8l or 3.2l straight six with modern steering, suspension, air-con and (perhaps most usefully) a comprehensive rust treatment on the body shell.

Yours from €79,000 and upward.

Did Broadsheet not frequently get their knickers in a twist about property supplements showing ‘this nice little 5-bed in Ranelagh, yours for only €2m’ – how is posts about very expensive cars any different?

We’re in the middle of a housing crisis fueled by soaring house prices. The reason the lack of housing constitutes a crisis is that people need houses to live in, so that they’re not out in the weather and they have a place to keep all their stuff. People don’t fundamentally need classic cars, so their unavailability doesn’t consitute a crisis. they’re just nice to think about. And they’ve always been expensive, except possibly in some cases when they weren’t classic cars, they were just cars.

Cos posts about a four year old Renault Megane are gash. I have a house, I may never have a 59 Mercedes convertible .
