Hey BS, you stuck in a typo. It’s The World Meeting of Pedophiles.
no one knows the meaning of family like a bunch of white male virgins.
The RCC is probably the most racially diverse international organisation, never mind religion, that the world has ever seen. But you’re suggesting they’re all white? Also, most of the speakers are lay people, not clerics.
Is that a sperm inspired logo?
…one of the lads in the semenary whipped it up…
Reply of the year award goes to you.
It represents the 3 building blocks of a good family, the parents, the children and the parish pries.
I find the term “World Meeting of Families” rather sinister in the context of a large cohort of priests in one room all arranged by the Catholic Church. That people are of their own free will bringing their offspring to this is one of thee most baffling things I’ll ever witness!
“Come along now kids, lets go see the child molesters and facilitators”
+1
And you wonder whats their definition of a family?
Lesbian parents with adopted children? No thanks guys we don’t like your type around here.
you think that’s bad?
Unmarried couple with children? No thanks guys we don’t like your type around here.
priests can’t even have families of their own, what do they know about human relations?!
um – they can and do have families.
All of them have/had a mother and father. Many of them have siblings, cousins, nephews & nieces,…
it’s wives and children they are not supposed to have.
…unfair Starina…two of the ringmasters at the last papal visit were Casey and Cleary…proud parents…well parents…
And the rest of them love children.
The sermon this week will be “Children who squeal on us and why that’s bad in the eyes of God”
These papalarasites make up their own rules and couldn’t give a toss about the people they are supposed to look after. Damn them.
I know someone who met a friend who is a secondary school teacher in a girls Catholic school in Dublin, she has to bring some of her pupils to whatever mass is on Friday. It costs something like 60 euro per ticket. They have a real thing on the timetable called “Tweeting To God”.
The full for the week is at https://www.worldmeeting2018.ie/en/Programme/Congress
if anyone wants to see what is happening at it.
How to Get your Family to Heaven!
(Hall 7) – EN. ES, IT
Speaker: Fr Leo Patalinghug, Priest, Chef and Author, USA
Description: This practical, theological, sociological and inspiring talk will help answer the questions parents ask most:What’s my most important job in life? Answer: To get your family to heaven? Question: How? Well, you’ll have to attend this lecture to hear how you can do it!
Hey, Father Leo Patalinghug? I think even you know it’s bonkers when you answer your own question with a question.
I have no idea who he is but I’m thinking Graham Norton’s priest in Father Ted.
Newsjustin, is it true that to get to heaven, the abused must forgive the abuser? I was told this many years ago by a priest, can you clarify this for me.
Hi Ava. I’m not a priest, nor am I well versed in these matters so can only tell you that I googled on the issue and found this article which seems to address this exact point https://www.catholic.com/magazine/print-edition/the-limits-of-forgiveness
Firstly, it seems to me that no one is going to heaven without God’s mercy. Jesus does tell us to forgive people, over and over again according to the gospels. Is not forgiving someone a mortal sin (itself requiring confession)? I don’t know. As the article above points out, there’s no requirement to forgive anyone who doesn’t want forgiveness or doesn’t ask. And it’s understood that even if someone can forgive someone it does not require them to not feel anger and remember what a person has done to wrong them. Also, I imagine the scale of the offense must matter. It’s easy to forgive someone who stole your phone. Not easy to forgive an abuser.
All in all, I would think God would not require us to do anything we simply can’t, in good conscience do.
Old school, if ever it was even true.
You do not even need to be in the RCC to get into heaven these days. So said the Pope fella.
Wednesday: Themes from Chapters 1 to 3 of The Joy of Love. I remember fapping to that in the early ’80s.
Bleurgh!
Thanks for replying Newsjustin. I do hope there is justice in the next world, that all these monsters die screaming and burn for eternity.
One of the highest concentrations of child sex abuse apologists in human history to date.
What’s that great line in Aliens about taking off and nuking them from the air?
That. Do that.
The Garda map of the Phoenix Pk mass features concentric circles suggestive of blast-radius expectations.
Nuking the site from orbit may be on the cards.
(it’s the only way to be sure)
Nuke people of faith, that’s your answer.

OK….
Gotta nuke something’
I’ve seen loads of groups of middle-aged tourists today, wandering around Dublin City centre, looking at maps.
Most of them are wearing white.
And looking lost.
