The rich are so concerned about faraway famines and wars, they have to meet in expensive venues to discuss them.

They probably laughing at Digi’s latest gimmick to rip off poor people, its actually banned in many places as its predatory and takes advantage of poor people. Its basically a updated version off a ‘numbers racket’….

“Digicel is giving one lucky customer the opportunity to be a millionaire.

“The telecommunications company launched its newest promotion, ‘The Digicel One Million’ at an event held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Monday in the presence of specially invited guests.

The total communications and entertainment provider is also giving its customers the chance to win great weekly prizes. Each week one lucky person will win $10,000, while six people will win an LTE smartphone and 1,000 people will win $100 in credit.

To participate in the promotion Digicel customers must call 777 from their Digicel mobile phones to get a chance to win. Customers will be entered in the weekly draws plus the grand prize draw for $1 million.”

It’s what he’s going do that I probably should be worried about:)
Actually,in fairness he never stole my communion money nor my high school sweetheart,it started with NWL and that failed IPO as a ‘funny’ exchange,as I have access in NY to most Digicel research, kinda progressed from there.
People have asked where did it all go wrong for Digicel and Dennis-I’m trying link/track his repayment off loans to Anglo/IRBC and the 1 Billion in dividends he stripped out off Digi, dooming the company, but given the pressure he was under with Anglo to reduce his borrowings, had make tough choices.
Based on some initial research the collapse of Anglo, set in motion the now imminent failure of Digicel,as DOB’s lines/loans were most likely due on demand (lower interest rate),so they got ‘called’.
Working ‘slowly’ on an update/status on Digi’s proposed bond swap, hope get it finished next day or two, but its OMG,Fashion Week here so I’m distracted……

Rich old white men discuss poor black and brown people over caviar and champagne. I’ll bet he topic never turns to rich white men paying their fair share of taxes, rather than squirrelling it away in offshore accounts.

Is there any reason that no one has objectified the bodyguard to the right yet?

Probably still would choose him, even with the cash the other two have

Is he a bodyguard.. I mean.. it’s interesting that you raise this, as I’m sure many of us looked upon the man in question and wondered. And we wonder still.

    Digicel DeathWatch-A Cause For Concern….

A question that I’m sure DOB is asking himself this morning is who the fook is Akin Grump and is it a cause for concern-Dennis it most definitely is !

“According to the National Law Journal’s 2018 NLJ 500 ranking of firms based on size, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has 858 attorneys and is ranked 42nd in the United States. With $1,039,656,000 in gross revenue in 2017, the firm placed 29th on The American Lawyer’s 2018 Am Law 200 ranking. On the 2016 Global 100 survey, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld ranked as the 36th highest grossing law firm in the world.”

Digi bond holders have retained one the top US law firms to represent them, in securing repayment on their defaulted bonds or better terms on the swap offer.

….i’ve no vote or horse in Presidential Election ok, ok….
Regarding non Irish residents voting,I don’t believe x pats should have a vote unless they file Irish tax returns,US citizens have file worldwide returns so the comparison is irrelevant.
(was hoping Eamon O Cuiv would run-yeah I know, but I happen respect him a lot, nice guy and runs great machine)

Digicel DeathWatch-extended the date, note these swapped bonds are NOT covered by US laws, its not clear what laws will/would govern them but if its some third world narco state, where Digi rips off poor people, you’d anticipate a significant discount V US bonds.

(I haven’t a clue what Digi is up to here, will try get some skinny or intel on it)

“Digicel Group Limited (“Digicel”) today announced that two of its subsidiaries are extending the early tender date (the “Early Tender Date”) of each of their previously announced Exchange Offers (as defined below) with respect to certain series of Digicel Group Limited’s outstanding senior notes.”
