Can someone ask them the logistics of homes for all? How does it work? Who gets a house? How do we pay for it? Will you be given a house in Dublin if you want one?

Only if you don’t intend to engage in any form of paid employment and/or produce a clatter load of kids you cannot afford to feed, clothe or provide shelter in any way for… then it’s your god given right…

I have a house, can I have another house or are they going to discriminate? If ye are all getting a house I want one too please.

Another worthless photo shoot from politicians who have never delivered a home in their lives. Come up with solutions as opposed to protests!!!

A protest at 12.30pm on a Wednesday. Obviously workers not allowed unless you nip out during your lunch break.

All of these political parties have form for objecting to housing schemes in their own constituencies. “Do as I say not as I do” is their real mantra.

I’m surprised by the comments here. I don’t think “homes for all” necessarily means free homes. There is a serious undersupply at the minute. I believe the government is not doing enough to address this.
They could seriously increase vacant lot tax. They could compulsorily purchase housing that is being left to fall into dereliction. They could build on public lands for sale, make a small profit and use the profit to build more homes for sale, and for social housing.

A planning application for 500 houses in Clontarf on private lands beside a 120 hectare park in Dublin, beside a DART line was turned down last week. Where were those politicians then? Sinn Fein and Labour both objected, the latter led public protects.
