This is not unusual. Michael D’s didn’t say Labour.
+1 -Gemma
in 2011?
I can. Its IRA.
Tee-hee
I wonder what her opinion on the Disappeared are?
Are they all the murdered homeless men in Limerick Gemma was prattling on about?
she looks better in a balaclava
She’s not a garda.
unrepentant cop killers I believe you were afraid to say
I’m surprised they didn’t find a way to impose Dear Leader’s face on it too.
IRA atrocities were NOT actions of “terrorists” says Liadh.
Now looking to be Commander of our forces…. will ya ever just take a walk Liadh/SF and stop wasting peoples’ time.
ah now clamps, you know that the higher up you go, the less you do and the less you are responsible for. being supreme commander of our armed forces just means you get to sign the commissions of your officers. you hardly think any president could instruct the armed forces to do, or not do something contrary to orders from the chief of staff and the minister?
Regardless, it’d be an insult to the forces to have a Pres/or person with the title of Commander to hold such a view.
IMO, and regardless of what opinion anyone else has of the forces.
You don’t know your history. The Irish Army was split in the 1970s. Large portions of the Irish Army were either funding or provisioning the IRA with arms. That continued on well into the 1980s.
That’s news to me and definitely not widely known. What are your sources?
There was a thing called the Arms Trial. If you go into a library, and ask nicely, they’ll give you at least ten titles that deal with it. If you ask in an even nicer voice, they’ll show you at least 100 articles that have been written on the subject.
is it for you to be insulted on behalf of the armed forces, clamps?
No. its not for me to speak for the dead neither, but I thought common sense would prevail for most.
Agreed, @Clampers
Terrorist Versus Freedom Fighters. We know…. what side you are on!
Same as my grandad’s who was in the IRB and state IRA. Died of TB contracted hiding from the Brits in the hills of Donegal.
Nothing is ever black and white.
Same “side”… that should be.
Died of Tony Blair. Wow. And I thought it was enough Dev shot Michael Collins in the movie.
I’d say the defence Forces would just love having an IRA apologist as their Chief of Staff.
Its not unusual to leave the party name out for a presidential election poster as the President is supposed to be above politics. I presume the small print shows the name of the printer & publisher though, as per the legislation

the president is not chief of staff, he’s the supreme commander. the COS is this guy:

My mistake. My point still stands.
Not really. You would need to ask them that. I would advance many are SF voters too or dont give a monkey.
A New Ireland, brillant slogan SF and Liadh, good luck in the campaign and all the best.
Why doesn’t her poster have the SF/IRA logo? Is she afraid people won’t vote for SF/IRA?
Slow day for FGBots on The Journal is it?
Eoin O’Duffy tattoo on your behind by any chance?
Maybe they didn’t forget!
We rightly mock the Dragon’s Den cabal as complete chancers. She’s no different.
She offers us nothing.
