I cannot bear the trend for ugly runners as a fashion item. Awful.
Harsh on Steve Ovett
Awwwww!!!
I hear ya
I’ve never understood the popularity of leopard print, I thought even fake animal pattern would come to be seen as bad taste, and thought it might actually stay out of fashion
Can’t stand leopard print. There’s no item of leopardprint clothing that doesn’t look cheap and tacky.
the thong i’m wearing right now says otherwise
I laughed.
You win.
That’s Gavin Duffy banjaxed then.
OK, Flo Jo, what’s your fashmob recommendation?
Jervis Street’s obviously got that Plus Size Cosmo Cover thing going on with runners…
I saw a pair of oversized Fila yokes that had what looked like shark teeth sticking out of them in a Shop last week. I thought nobody would buy such ugly shoes. Since then I’ve seen about 10 young ones wearing them around town
Fila???
Jaysus.
Must dig out my XWorks and NafNaf so!
I think the young ones can pull them off properly, just with something casual. They’ve been in every fashion shoot and on every fashion influencer type for the past year though, with floaty dresses etc. I like a contrasting look but this is a contrived horror show
Wouldn’t even wear the combo in picture two, to do a bit of cleaning in – whoever lashed those pieces together must be on something.
the only semi wearable look is the last one
Actually no 2 is bang on trend including the trainers, but it must have been a very rushed photo-shoot because she forgot her skirt in no 9.
* scrolls hurriedly to picture 9 *
SOQ, Bang on trend for a two year old dressing herself maybe ;-)
Afraid not. High waist-banded trousers and comfortable footwear is what will annoy your parents these days.
It’s basically a lesbian look from the late 80’s. Remember to tuck your jumper inside your trousers of course.
It’s the colour clashing that I’m struggling with, i should have mentioned that, the cut of the strides isn’t too bad.
Do your own thing Raven but jumpers to be tucked in high waist trousers. Not a double knit arran jumper obvs as that would look silly, and fat, and from places with strange accents and exotic smells like… .
Dundalk.
You talking smack about Janet?? We can’t be having that now ;)
i’d bet Janet is a smart dresser
BB you guess correctly,
I don’t even own leggings
nothing at all wrong with leggings/yoga pants – on the right bottom
thing is: all too often, it’s the wrong bottom
The fashion for high waisted leggings and crop tops is both a blessing and a curse.
gym gear is for the gym
running gear is for running
and yes on the right bottom ;)
that goes for the guys too
smart doesn’t have to spell uncomfortable
ah yes exotic Dundalk :)
I’ll hold back on the heavy geansaí, thanks for the tip. Incidentally, I have a penchant for the Dundalk accent, gives me a bit of a tingle.
Jaysus tucked in jumper is a trend now?
I really dislike the leather skirt trend that seems to be everywhere these days.
I really, really love those leopard print leggings. Actually, if I’m being honest I like about 80% of that stuff. Except the stupid leather skirts.
Jervis Street shopping Centre… that explains it. Where would you be going with your figure skating boots.
as an aside, the only place* you’ll find ornate hippocampi (aside from grattan bridge and college green, amazingly enough) is the trevi fountain.
*that I know of
Burdocks do them too. Delicious.
+1 Cian :D
These clothes are all really conservative and intentionally ugly. I don’t get it. Esp those trainers *shudder*
