Eh? Whatcha talking about? Greasy-Moggy is a complete fuppwit. He’s like a character from a 1940s whodunnit by Agatha Christie. The affected manners, posture and clothing is designed to lead to you to believe he’s the UK personified, it’s just a pastiche. He has nothing to lose personally from Brexit, unlike the millions of ordinary Brits he and others deceived with spin*

Ollie,
You’re a man of the World.
A True irredentist and patriot.
You sing an Empire song.
You’ve your finger on the Little England pulse. You know what makes them tick in Sunderland and Slough, in Prestatyn, Dundee and Humberside. These Leeds side streets you slip down…
But answer me this… Come March 29th next, will the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland have exited the Single Market and Customs Union in accordance with the expressed wishes of 52% of the electorate?
Anything less than this is failure.
SOQ
The only one calling this game of bluff out is Corbyn. The framing of bad deal or no deal is nonsense because the EU has already offered a one year extension period to the negotiations and they will extend that again if need be.
It is only rich Tories who are demanding everything must be finalised by next March because they know that the longer it goes on, the less chance it has of succeeding.

Moggy Moggy Moggy, Moi, Moi, Moi (as the French mock him) is the man who said the increase in people using food banks was “rather uplifting” (because of the charity involved); however he dismissed the £250,000 spent on MPs’ portraits as trivial by saying “I’m all for saving money, saving money right, left and centre, but this is chicken feed”. He says he’s never changed a Pamper because “nanny wouldn’t approve” because she’d think he’d “do it wrong”, but feels competent to steer his country through the difficult waters of leaving the world’s biggest trading bloc and going it alone…? He’s an ultra-Catholic who is opposed to abortion after rape and people having the right to marry the person they love if they’re homosexual. He has been criticised for his company’s multi-million pound investments in Russian companies with links to the Kremlin and Russian oligarchs, and its heavy investment in a company that has subsequently been blamed for more than 100 deaths in South Africa’s worst-ever listeria outbreak, in which 100 died (Tiger Brands). In his parliament, he has used cynical filibustering to stymie bills.
Is this really the man you think would be best leader for your country? If so, you should definitely rush back to live there, to take advantage of the wonderful surge in living standards and kindness his empowerment would obviously usher in.
” It’s no big deal, but amused to read this review of A MOTHER BRINGS HER SON TO BE SHOT in The Guardian. I don’t think the writer understands that “The RA” is just short for “The IRA”. ”
The whole topic is disturbing but these things did happen. For the most part, republicans policed Catholic areas during the troubles but the same happened on the other side too. They couldn’t lock people up so they shot them but, knowing what we know now, British intelligence had a very active part to play in it all.
The problem is that it is still going on. There are regular reports of punishment shootings even now which makes you wonder if it was ever out of necessity or, that it was and still is, just violent thugs intimidating their own communities in order to exercise control.
I understand that SOQ, and that is the point of the film, which I do intend to see.
What’s silly is what I see as the reviewers lack of interest in all of that, in the topic of the film… I came away after reading it not knowing why it got three stars, what was disliked nor liked. It’s a poorly written piece in more ways than Clark pointed to.

Cracking piece in the New York Times ( of all places ) on how the Democrats are making the same old mistakes in the mid-terms.
” A #MeToo movement that moved all-too swiftly from righteous indignation against undoubted predators like Harvey Weinstein to a vendetta culture based on rumors and whisper networks based on self-censorship. Twitter mobs getting people fired and speakers canceled. ”
Ollie-Brett Stephens is the Noel Rock of the NYT-a token.
“The CBS Battleground Tracker poll showed Democrats stand to win 226 House seats in November, a small cushion above the 218 needed for a majority. The margin of error is plus or minus 14 seats, though, suggesting control of the House remains in doubt.”

Doesn’t make the endless conversation around it any less tiresome, when so much of it is repetitive, even if it is undoubtedly relevant. The same could be said for the recent referendum, though on something of a smaller scale. It’s wholly divisive.
