This photo from @LovinDublin’s Instagram features “fairy tale” Dublin; complete with homeless person camped out in the background. This is at best pure stupidity and and at worst horrific apathy.

it is a nice photograph. Well-taken, nicely balanced. Framing could use some work.
Yeah, he should put the golden ratio gridlines on his phone for stuff like this. nice colours though.
Dividing the screen into 3rds is not the Golden ratio.
Where did I say it was?
It was in that enormous essay you wrote on the Golden thing or whatever it was. Remember now?
omg Millie, how could I forget! Thanks, girl. It was called “On mansplaining and photography: Are these the gridlines that divide us?”
Fibonacci yo’sel, woman!
I tried that once and ended up in A&E
Lovin Dublin are not known for their thoughtful insights on Dublin…
Or their honesty with reviews, took their advice on a new sambo place and it was really crap. It was clear they were mates or paid for the good press. I’ll never trust a review by them.
I am OUTRAGED!
Getting all uppity because its LovinDublin.
Could also think about the people who are paying 2000+ per month for the apartments right beside those two tents, which have been there for months.
Are you suggesting that their otherwise pleasant experience in D4 is ruined, simply ruined by the presence of the Poors?
19% battery is making me very twitchy.
dim your screen and you’re grand until bedtime
I carry a powerbank, feck that.
that’s two things to forget to charge
I suppose people have just become blind to this.
Exactly what I thought
being honest my first thoughts were, “what a beautiful photo” and then I spotted the tent out of the corner of my eye. Just ruined a lovely photo… I am joking. It’s sad. The person taking the photo probably just did the same thing though.
What’s Instagram?
Exactly , Lovin Dublin, Get with the times Granddad!
Lovin Dublin or is it just the southside part? There are two canals in Dublin.
massive assumption on my part there obviously
the other one’s a river
…
– are you for real, BB?
: )
re-label them ‘outdoors enthusiasts’ and, vu’a la, no homelessness
(it was a suggestion to our hosing people, in case it went amiss)
I for one am outraged by dubkiners leaving big red arrows everywhere.
FFS
I am sad that there are homeless people – but does that mean that we can’t be happy about anything until there are no longer any homeless people in the world?
Lighten up, Dáire.
The tent thing is a thing – as long as they’re safe and not moved along by Na Gardaí. Yes, great pic of our capital.
