an extraordinary woman – the best president we never had, you could say

(no left wing women aside from mcguinness herself, that is)

That’s “pearls fitzgerald” all right, she made that dress out of an old tablecloth she stole from the dail bar in 1987.

Lets play a game of ” Guess how many pensions each of these receive” Most of them haven’t even featured for years. You could probably wipe out Dublin homelessness with all those second pension in one go there.

You could probably fund homeless emergency services for a few months with it because allowing the homeless crisis to carry on is far, far more costly and wasteful than fixing it or paying pensions would be.

Hanifin has more pensions than Irish Life. I’m sorry but presenting everything female as alternative, progressive and a success is a joke when you see the display of male emulating (more of the same old) lack of talent being paraded here as making a difference. More of the same only different sexual genitalia.

As a side note could you just imagine the uproar if that was a picture of only men!

A true great indeed. Actually she surely is a contender for one of the worst politicians the country has ever seen! That takes some doing. No shortage of ability to self serve all the same.

Why would there be an uproar if it was a picture of only men? Pictures featuring only men happen all the time. It’s only when this is pointed out that there’s uproar.

I’m guessing it’s Nigel’s natural insouciance and charm.

Heck, even I’m jealous of it.

So are you but these things are more a matter of opinion rather than fact.

            Lucky for you both huh?

An apt depiction of how mediocre our political class is; something that knows no gender divide.

Catherine Guinness aside, can anyone point to anything useful or substantive that any of them achieved in high office?

I can point to Mary Hanafin & Mary O Rourke achievements. They both played a key part in the FF government which destroyed the country and wrecked peoples lives. It didn’t bother them of course, as they shagged off with massive pensions. No shame.
