Overheard Baggage

at | 65 Replies

The man was filmed by a fellow passenger insulting an elderly woman and shouting “don’t talk to me in a foreign language you stupid ugly cow”.

The footage was recorded on 19 October on Ryanair flight FR015 from Barcelona to London Stansted by UK resident David Lawrence who uploaded it on to social media.

It shows the man shouting at the woman to move seats while her daughter tries to stand up to him, telling him her mother is disabled.

He replies: “I don’t care whether she’s f****** disabled or not – if I tell her to get out she gets out.”

Now, in what order will the following people blame Brexit ?

    Brother Barnabas ( natch )
SOQ – never misses a chance for some foot stamping and a hissy fit
Nigel – while mounted on his high horse.
Reptoidiot – generally a follower of the flock but never far behind
Papi – even further behind than the rest but someone has to clean up the horseshIte from the procession
The Usual Suspects – they know who they are but are so dull I just can’t remember their names.

Regular commenters comment regularly. Other regular comment regularly comments that he notices regular commenters commenting regularly, demands applause for noticing.

(It’s unexpectedly poignant to discover you consider yourself the conversational equivalent of punishment or a hair shirt, considering you work so hard to project an image of arrogance and success. it’s like the moment in a film where someone has been tormented and undermined by a horrible friend/relative/colleague only for the horrible person to reveal a vulnerable side that makes the protagonist feel sorry for them. God I hate that trope.)

Too late, I’m up here on my high horse dripping pity on you, virtue signalling what a compassionate person I am by pleading for everyone to understand your inner torments. Thanks Ollie. Racism is bad.

Just imagine a typical exchange between BB and Millie. Now change the names to Topsy and Leon Down. Happy Halloween.

It’s to do with racism in England/Spain, by English people towards other English people laterally involving non-Irish cabin crew and filmed by another English person on a plane owned by an Irish corporation.

You could literally spend all day every day posting examples of people worldwide being racist. “Some people are racist” isn’t exactly groundbreaking news.

This honestly seems like just something to give Ollie to talk about.

The video shows staff placating the racist, rather than throwing him off the plane. Dumping his disgusting lard arse on the tarmac would have taken too long and they would have missed their take off slot causing knock on delays which means they wouldn’t get to play the stupid jingle and O’Leary would be cross with them.

Either staff aren’t properly trained to deal with disruptive passengers, or they’re more afraid of being diciplined for being late and creating more paperwork.

This. Its catch 22. They get flak either way I would say. There should be someone they can refer to (supervisor/manager) to quickly make a decision on this, that horrible sack of lard should have been taken off the plane, no doubt.

Racial abuse is a crime. if you commit a crime on a plane the police should be called to remove you from the plane.

but as someone said that would have created a delay and cost ryanair money.

So essentially its ok to commit a crime on a ryanair flight…

What article of Spanish law was the abusive passenger breaking?

I think that we can all agree that he was a knob, and is possibly in breach of the T&C’s of the ticket that he bought, but it is not so clear which laws he is breaking, if any. I imagine that most of the people on the flight just wanted him to shut up, rather than wait for police to board the plane, have the old bugger removed, miss their take off slot, etc.

There’s plenty of links saying he was filmed calling her “an ugly black b****rd” but none that I have seen actually show it. And I see the argument online has now moved on to “…If this was a black man he would have been arrested”…rubbish
Anyway, the man is a bollocks so should have been thrown off regardless of being a racist or not.

i don’t think you can remove someone from a flight solely on grounds of being a boll0cks, can you?

Nothing to do with Brexit, though the EU is why people like yer man can do on holidays to Spain and have their fish’n’chips without food poisoning.

Post-Brexit there will be less of these heroes traveling – and special lanes for those that do,

Ollie straight in with his big polished helmet on as usual.
