Raw sewage from the equivalent of 88,000 people flows into Irish waters every day

It’s rather distressing to me
That in thirty eight parts of our sea
That all you can do
When swimming through poo
Is avoid it by swimming through wee.

It’s a pity we aren’t like every other developed country in the world and have a process whereby we pay directly for potable water and sewage collection & treatment.

If that happened the State could ring-fence that money to pay for the sewage works and prevent all this sh!t going into the sea. Perhaps they could create an company to do this and call it ‘Clean Irish Water’… or something…

    strange, this won’t post.
