I’ll watch Robinson – Tubridy will be well out of his depth – you can keep the rest.

    1. Joe cool

Robinson wil eat him alive if he tries aby of his nonsense. The lads complete lack of interview skills will be shown up

      1. Spud

I really hope this is true.
He’ll probably stick to simple stuff like ‘what was it like to be President’ and the usual Tubs style.

  2. Marta Murtagh

How about a royal-rumble-type event where Mary Robinson and Andy Lee are left on to dismantle Casey, and Ryan just retires into the background, mic switched off, his plamásery kept to himself.

    1. CoderNerd

He could revisit his roots and walk around the audience rattling a collection tin for Fianna Fail.

    2. SOQ

I would pay good money to see Robinson and Casey on the one couch. A woman who served her country with style and decorum vs a loud mouthed chancer in a bad suit who is so patriotic he chooses to pay tax elsewhere.

    1. Brother Barnabas

odd, isn’t it? for a multimillionaire (supposedly), you’d think he have one decent suit that fits him. if he didn’t look like worzel gummidge, he might have done even better

      1. edalicious

The mad thing is he’s actually quite tall so he’d have to go out of his way to find a suit that is too long for him like that. Perhaps he has got a tailor and specifically requests his suits to fit like that which opens up even more questions.

  3. Daisy Chainsaw

Tubridy loves his rightwingers, doesn’t he? I expect Casey will get the same softball, fawning, frottage as Farage and Hopkins before him.

    1. Andrew

You must live in a parallel universe. All those right wingers were setup for a heckling from a bovine audience

  4. Dr.Fart MD

why are the media so doggedly giving Casey air time? They’d only love a surge in right-wingness, so they can report it, and be damned with the effects it would have on the country. No one is paying him any attention but the media are keeping a spotlight on him, begging the public to get onboard.

    1. Dan

More than 300,000 voted for him. Hardly nobody. Sorry that someone you disagree with has the gall to be interviewed on TV. Next time hopefully RTE will get hit permission first :D

    2. Andrew

It’s news, that is why. Higgins winning was expected, not news really. The remarkable surge for a no hope candidate; after uttering a few sentences is THE story of the election.
I’m bemused why so many ,including some journalists, fail to understand the media business.
I’m not remotely surprised by some of the outrage merchants on this site want the story to end. The same people wanted Gemma O’Doherty shut down too.

    Robbo talks climnate change?

More fake science you can be sure.

Carbon Dioxide is great stuff. Don’t let Robbo tell you otherwise. If she does she’ll be selling you a bucket of stale lies.

More CO2 makes plants grow faster and with less stress.

Forests are growing faster in response to increasing CO2.

More CO2 stimulates growth of beneficial bacteria in both soil and water.

CO2 fertilization, leading to more plant growth, means less erosion of topsoil.

More CO2 means bigger crop yields, and more and bigger flowers.

More CO2 fosters glomalin, a beneficial protein created by root fungi.

More CO2 helps plants to create natural repellents to fight insect predators.

    https://inconvenientfacts.xyz/blog/f/i-love-carbon-dioxide-and-you-should-too?blogcategory=CO2+Benefits

AND CO2 does not control the climate (or even the climnate!).

Anybody who tells you otherwise is trying to pick your pocket.

    1. ReproButina

CO2’s not exactly great stuff for the oceans.

Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the acidity of surface ocean waters has increased by about 30 percent.13,14 This increase is the result of humans emitting more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and hence more being absorbed into the oceans. The amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by the upper layer of the oceans is increasing by about 2 billion tons per year.

      https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/

      1. CO2 Rocks

When you disingenuously say the oceans are becoming more acidic what you actually mean is the oceans are becoming slightly less alkaline (Oceans are naturally alkaline). CO2 naturally leaches from oceans as calcium carbonate, which ends up as limestone.

The earths volcano system will periodically erupt to release CO2 into the atmosphere as a top up.

2 billion tons of CO2 is tiny when the total volume of atmospheric CO2 is about 3×10^12 tonnes.

The oceans contain 5 times that amount.

Without extra human emissions CO2 the earth could be running dangerously low on this essential life giving nutrient : photosynthesis stops at about 150 ppm.

Extra CO2 is a good thing in the atmosphere. It does not cause warming (warming is cyclical anyway and is caused by the sun’s cycles).

Anybody who claims CO2 is bad for the earth’s climate is denying the scientific reality (and trying to pick your pocket.)

There is no catastrophic consequence to extra atmospheric CO2. Only liars tell you otherwise.

For 40 years these liars have been predicting disaster which has yet to arrive. And yet worry-worts will still believe them.

Don’t believe liars and thieves. Or worry-worts.

            Jay-sus. I didn’t know about this.

            Can you spell…

            self-ag·gran·dize·ment (sĕlf′ə-grăn′dĭz-mənt)
            n.
            1. The act or practice of enhancing or exaggerating one’s own importance, power, or reputation.
            2. the act of increasing one’s own power, importance, etc, esp in an aggressive or ruthless manner
            self′-ag·gran′diz′ing (-ə-grăn′dī′zĭng) adj.

Haha remember the last time you posted a link in praise of CO2 and the findings of the study in the link confirmed excessive CO2 as being a cause climate change and warned that there would be limits to any beneficial effects of excess CO2 on plant growth? Remember that? I don’t think I’ll ever forget that one. That was a good one.
