It’s an absolute disgrace that that bus driver is still on the road after killing that lady, nevermind driving a bloody bus full of passengers.

It took 4 years for this case to be brought to court. He was allowed to continue driving for all this time. What was so complicated about it that it took 4 years? It was on CCTV.
He has been convicted of wreckless driving that caused someone’s death. Surely, that gives Dublin Bus grounds to dismiss him without waiting for the ban to kick in. I’m guessing they don’t have to pay him off or risk a unfair dismissal case if they wait until he can’t legally drive. I hope they have him on suspension or something though and don’t actually have him driving at the moment.

North Korea continue to build missile sites. I though Trump had beaten them single handedly?
any reasonable individual recognises that a pan-european military force is precisely what’s required to deal with the invasion of migrants on europe’s eastern frontier. soon as the first stone is thrown, sh1t’ll get real.

Do you even read the stuff you link to? Joint training operations are not new and they’re not a step towards a united army. Or do you think the USA and South Korea are going to merge their militaries? I have a mate in the Ranger wing who has being on joint training operations with units from all over the world. No doubt you will see this as evidence of plans for the formation of a global army.

Yes,Ireland, you were duped again when you were promised there wouldn’t be an EU army.
Angela Merkel, addressing the European Parliament in Strasbourg today, called on the EU to “work on a vision of creating a real, true, European army.”
This was after Macron voiced his support for such an army last week in order to offset the threat of the USA – a country that has come to the aid of the cheese-eating,surrender monkeys twice before.

Good to see the Donald putting the upstart Frenchie in his place.
The current “backstop” is not legally binding
First, the baseline of the legal advice is that the existing text about the “backstop” dating from the December 2017 so-called Phase 1 Agreement is not legally binding. This backstop text consists of two ambiguous, confusing and internally self-contradictory paragraphs in a Joint Report by the UK and EU negotiating teams. The UK is free under international law to walk away from these paragraphs.
The UK can justifiably say that the concept contained in those paragraphs – of the UK maintaining “full alignment” with areas of EU rules of the Customs Union and Single Market – has proved not capable of being negotiated into a solution acceptable to both sides. Therefore a different approach — of maintaining a customs and regulatory border enforced by behind-the-border measures — should be preferred.
If any of this were true don’t you think the UK and EU would be aware of it rather than the UK twisting themselves in knots trying to get out of it?

That said the UK is free to walk away. That’s literally what No Deal is.

Today’s #despitebrexit news.
EU Commissioners have today made the recommendation that even in the event of no deal, UK citizens would be placed on the visa-exempt list for short stays across the Schengen Area for up to 90 days.
“The European Commission has proposed to the EU legislator to exempt UK nationals from visa requirements for short-term stays”.
Turns out kids will still be able to frolic around Europe visa free, on their summer holidays. Another Remainer lie bites the dust.

Also the lie about the EU trying to punish and bully the UK, That’s remarkably generous of them. I hope you said thank you to the European Commission.

Aaaaaand more #despitebrexit news.
Wages in Britain have increased at their fastest annual rate of growth since 2008 as the number of EU migrants working in Britain has fallen, whilst the number of job vacancies is at a record high.
It underlines the claims made by Brexiteers during the referendum that mass migration had damaged the economic prospects of British workers who had experienced wage compression.
The latest growth rate of pay was 3.2%, with the annual growth rate not having been higher since October to December 2008. After inflation they were up by 0.8%.
At the same time, the number of EU migrants working in the UK between July and September 2018 has fallen to 2.25 million, down 132,000 compared to 12 months ago. That’s the largest annual fall since comparable records began in 1997. At the same time the number of non-EU nationals working in the UK increased by 34,000 to 1.24 million.
There were 845,000 job vacancies between August and October 2018 which is 44,000 more than 12 months ago and is a record high.
