whoops, brain opened up and let that one out.

(I shop early on the sly so I’m better able at tackling stress and seasonal affected disorder during December. I’m usually good at hiding it.)

What other creatures might be skulking in the library?
Rattus rattus academicus? Rara avis postmodernis? Liber porno animalis cogniscens?

I have, somewhere in my internet cloud archives*, some wonderful old Irish stories which feature foxes, and in one case, their affiliation with a prominent Gaelic family.

      * I’ll post it when I can, and when I can find it.

Hi, Starina, it took me a while, sorry for that! I hope I’ve managed to copy it properly, but it is from an online archive which I had filed away, so it’s like trying to find a the proverbial needle etc… However, there are thousands of items to peruse through the various categories, so I hope you enjoy reading – also, the particular story I was referring to begins at p.195 for a couple of paragraphs :)

P.S. If Starina doesn’t read this – which is likely after 18 days – maybe BS could pass it on to her, please?

Also, I apologise; the Preston family of Gormansto[w]n weren’t a prominent Gaelic family, I was thinking of the O’ Brian (Brian Boruma) descendants whose harbingers of death were Ban Sídhe, not foxes.

As a user of TCD Library, I love that the author’s name is Stack. So if we were to order the print, would that be a Stack request?
