Splutter!

Last night.

well if you need spotters to help find the villians, all help is appreciated.
No need for any of that lark at Lansdowne tomorrow.

meant in terms of disruptive fans. What is it about football nowadays that brings out the worst. I went to all the games in 1990s and it was fun, no booing of anthems. goodwill and plastic shamrocks. (jacobs shake a shamrock days).

Eh, your memory might be a bit faulty here. Ireland vs England in Lansdowne Road in 1995 being one obvious lowlight.

It’s a good question. But if they’re there to keep the peace between potentially violent soccer thugs, then well and good. We don’t want another Sean Cox.
Or maybe down to check in for scoops with their old mate in his new job and digs, hai.

It’s the norm. World Cup and Euro Cup finals tend to make a big deal about cops from other competing nations being “on the beat” with local cops.

It happens all the times for soccer matches – English police identifying troublemakers for French police during the world cup. Also, they aren’t really ‘operating’ – they are not going around making arrests, just acting as consultants.
