The Late Late Toy Show trailer.

Sarah Whiteacre writes:

Whether by bike, bus, scooter, moped or even tractor, there is movement happening, but where is everyone going? We arrive at a door, but this isn’t any old door.

This is the door of Late Late Toy Show host Ryan Tubridy, who enthusiastically invites the gang inside. This all plays out to a rocking version of the festive classic Deck The Halls.

Created by the RTÉ Marketing and Promotions team, the trailer will premiere on television tonight, Monday, November 19, straight after the Six One Weather bulletin…

The ad for the Late Late Toy/plastic trash Show now has its own launch announcement? We’re defo in Superbowl territory now.

RTE is just too over-produced, Tubridy is an overpaid mediocrity that no acrylic jumper can conceal. And the Christmas magic has gone forever since we learned how much it cost to get your toys featured or given away as “one for everyone in the audience” (yes, the toy company not only has to give RTE the toys but it has to pay them a fee for the privilege of the promotion).

When is the TV3 toy show on?

‘Over-produced’ is such a kind way to put it. RTE has 1800 staff paid an average of 71k a year. Meanwhile, kids are filling Youtube with watchable content filmed on smartphones and edited on €300-laptops. The rest of the world has moved on, but in Montrose it’s forever 1975.
