Meanwhile At The Saudi Arabian Embassy

at

This afternoon.

Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2

A protest outside the Saudi Arabia Embassy against the country’s bombing and blockade of Yemen. Over 14 million people are reportedly at risk starvation due to the Saudi-implemented humanitarian blockade.

Careful now.

Shannon Airport -there are claims by a human rights group that Shannon has been used as a part of a supply route of US arms to the Saudis, for use in Yemen.

Enterprise Ireland – has been driving Ireland’s increasing business ties with Saudi Arabia in recent years

14 million at risk of starvation – risk of continued war (World Food Program estimate)

Google is your friend as they say!

A bit too civilized for me. Give me a shout when you plan to raid the building and cause an actual scene. I’m sure the Saudi ambassador is quaking in his boots! You never stop hearing about how the hippies raided the British embassy back in the day they ran amok. 8 dorks with placards? what you need in angry mob throwing computers and furniture out of the windows. If these Saudi silly billys wont take care of there neighbors then why are they still here?

If by ‘hippies’ you mean ‘the provisional IRA’ and by ‘raided’ you mean ‘burned down’, then maybe you have a point

Surely it is, which is why there was a protest at the embassy two weeks ago specifically about Kashoggi’s gruesome demise.
I wasn’t at the protest, nor do I recognise anyone in the photos, but…
It’s not really surprising that the thousands of dead Yemeni citizens and many more at risk of death by starvation was more prominent in the placards in a protest which was called about the situation in Yemen, a situation which does have a connection to this country and our ‘dual purpose’ exports and nod and wink approval of US military flights carrying weapons and ammo to the middle east.

Whenever someone stands up to point out wrongdoing and injustice, there will always be some ethical gnome on the sidelines throwing mud.

    Twas ever thus.

Just pointing out that these same protestors marched about Israel for years and years but ignored every conflict in the rest of the world. It’s great that they’re finally distributing their concerns. Not mud throwing just stating a fact.

Whenever someone stands up to point out wrongdoing and injustice, there will always be some snide intellectual gnome on the sidelines throwing mud.

    Twas ever thus.
