    Stunning. I particularly love the first one – all we can do is continuously beat back nature. The moment we stop, it claims its territory back.

      That will always give me hope, to be honest. After we’ve ruined everything, nature will still gamely hang on and fight back against the destruction we caused.

      It’s like in Vietnam. They were convinced Agent Orange would devastate the countryside. Nerp: everything grew back and it’s all ok.

    I do like these.

    There’s a lovely Irish book called “To the Faithful Departed” that does something similar with Irish buildings.

    In a vein similar to the pictures shown, “Forbidden Places” by Sylvain Margaine takes you on a great tour of abandoned hospitals, churches, museums, cinemas, metros, factories and villa’s throughout Europe.
