usually its done by the tenant who lets it who then sublets it. Ive never seen a landlord do this, but ive seen plenty of times a smily couple (usually central/ south american) rents an apartment and the landlord comes to check the boiler after 3 months and all the beds have been sold / thrown out and theres 10 people living there.

Oh absolutely. I was just pointing out that in comparison to some of the properties on offer and in light of the current market, its actually not that bad, comparatively speaking? But only for those who head home for the weekend of course, as a student, I would have been delighted with a place like that.

50p in the separate meter which ran the one communal shower and hope it wouldn’t run out while you were still suddy:…which is not an adjective you hear too often.
£25 per week paulus in Sandymount, money in the meter for the shower, small room with bed, sink and a mini oven that wouldn’t fit a decent chicken that you’d get on a saturday in FX Buckleys in Moore Street, happy days though, you had your independence, standing on your own two feet with the added bonus the girlfriend (now wife) would come over during the week, she even loaned me her B&W TV. These days, €500-€600 for the same (flat) Studio aportment ;-)

I cannot think of any sleeping alignment positions that someone would not end up smelling someone’s feet in that bunk bed room. Plus €385 every 13 days, knock a day of the week why doncha.

I swear if I had to live in a Sun-Friday let, there’d be filthy underwear left on top of the filthy saucepans in the sink every single Friday morning before I left. I’d also leave a little surprise in the bed too. NOBODY will weekend Air BnB my shed/studio apartment!

usually it means its a family home and they just don’t want somebody there on their days off. I doubt anyone lives in it at the weekend but days your not in work you don’t want to be looking at them students.
A shed can make for a lovely studio apartment, you can come up to 25 square metres without planning permission which is a grand living space for one person.
But that’s not a lovely studio apartment, and just because other people would charge 900 a month doesn’t make charging 600 for five-sevenths of a month not robbery.
