Doing Long Division

at

The ‘Here’s How’ podcast.

Host William Campbell (right) meets Jamie Bryson (left), Loyalist activist and editor of UnionistVoice

William writes:

Brexit is bringing renewed talk about a United Ireland; some Unionists seem relaxed about this, but others are resolutely opposed.

Hear what Jamie has to say about the legitimacy of Stormont and any potential border poll, relations with other unionists, and [DUP Leader] Arlene Foster’s comment that she would have to leave Ulster in the event of reunification.

Ah jaysus. I admire William’s varied approach to who he speaks to, but this fruitloop is not a spokesperson for any reasonable unionists. He’s a flippin’ troll

The lad who once threw a strop when Belfast City Council removed the British flag from 365-day-a-year-flying at the city hall in the centre of Belfast and got arrested and a conviction in ensuing protests? The lad who went on the run from police, got found in an attic with a terrible rash because of the insulating material and then went on a hunger strike, which according to legend, lasted from lunchtime to tea-time on the same day? The lad who supports and defends monstrous bonfires, built with pallets stolen from the Dublin-based PER group, which threaten, and on occasion, damage or destroy homes in Belfast in July each year? The lad who most recently threw a strop when Belfast City Council removed a portacabin illegally placed on its own land and which obviously had no planning permission, the portacabin being allegedly used by a “football club” in east Belfast whose manager is reportedly the “east Belfast UVF boss”? The boyo who once got a hundred votes or so in an election…

    No, ta.

“The court heard Bryson told officers quizzing him about the marches that he was an Irish republican and the first minister. He even suggested a fictional gay relationship with fellow campaigner Willie Frazer, it was claimed.”

“Jamie ‘Biryani’ Bryson’s much-heralded hunger-strike lasted less than half a day. The baby-faced loyalist asked cops at Belfast’s Musgrave PSNI station to get him an Indian takeaway after his arrest in Bangor last week.”

“Leading loyalist Stephen Matthews is the manager of the club and loyalist blogger Jamie Bryson previously submitted a letter on behalf of the club making a case for the retention of the hut.”

      +1.

This guy represents nobody except himself and his semi-literate arguments, with himself.

      Why was he interviewed?
