What, no questionable article from Mark Tighe on the front page of the Irish edition of Murdoch’s Sunday Times?

Instead, there’s a piece from John Mooney based entirely on the suspicion of the Gardai, though the Gardai suspicions aren’t grounded enough to make any arrest. I wonder are the suspects in the firebombing of KBC branches also guilty of raping babies. Maybe John should ask his “Garda sources” in the Cavan Monaghan division, It’s 2019 John, “Garda sources” are dépassé because they’ve been utterly discredited in 2018. For Christs sake the ex-Garda Commissioner was adjudged just a few months ago to have smeared a Garda sergeant in the vilest terms and not told the truth under oath and the boss at the Garda press office was judged to by a lying toe-rag (not literally, but that’s hardly an exaggerated characterisation). Maybe time’s come for John and his fellow travellers to do some proper journalism and not rely on “Garda sources”

    – Today’s Varadkar headline is the faux falling out with Murphy. The start of the build up to a Cabinet reshuffle.
    – The Boy Harris and a nice even number of GPs, but no listing of them.
    – Welfare Department cheats cheat us all. By overpaying Gardai, who in turn cheated us all by not coming clean and bringing it to the notice of the department.
    – KBC report just a few columns inches of waffle and makey uppy ‘story’

He’s gone out to Mali for a photo shoot with our soldiers. Anything to get out of the glare of Brexit. Sure that’s why himself and Coveney push out Helen McEntee. Two boy cowards.

The Scum newspaper is an absolute abomination. Anyone who works for it, should be ashamed of themselves.

Exactly. I thought those headlines you mentioned were absolutely fine. But I draw the line at this.

-local news like this will start appearing this week all over America.
The national parks out west are closed or reliant on local volunteers,IRS may not be able process refunds, next week peoples lives will get impacted. There is no end in sight he’s not getting funding for a wall.

“Passengers at SeaTac miss flights as TSA agents call out sick amid government shutdown”

If I were a betting man I would say he will get his funding eventually. He was elected on a mandate to build the wall. American citizens for the most part want the wall.

        hm….

“A Quinnipiac poll of 1,147 voters reached on landlines or cell phones from Dec. 12-17 found that 54 percent of respondents opposed the wall and 43 percent supported it. A Harvard CAPS/Harris online survey of 1,407 registered voters conducted Dec. 24-26 found that 56 percent of those surveyed did not support a wall, while 44 percent did.

Just 35 percent of those surveyed supported including money for the wall in a federal spending bill, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll of 2,440 adults conducted online Dec. 21-25.

More than two-thirds of Americans don’t think the wall should be a priority, according to a poll of 1,075 adults by NPR, PBS News Hour and Marist. That poll was conducted Nov. 28-Dec. 4 using live telephone interviews to reach both landlines and cell phones. ”

More polls won’t show any increase in “American citizens for the most part want the wall”,or from x presidents nor from furious federal workers, contractors.R’s in both houses will start showing bipartisan support for reopening the govt. hopefully sooner rather than later. When they desert him he folds.

If the last US Presidential election taught us anything it was don’t believe what you hear in the ‘polls’. Anyway much more pressing issues at home here with our own government to be worried about what’s happening somewhere else.

Nate Silver yesterday released some new polling info.
“There’s one group of people who really hate the shutdown: government workers. According to a poll commissioned by the trade magazine Government Executive, 71 percent of federal workers oppose the shutdown, while 22 percent support it.”

The key word the admin is pushing is ‘crisis’, but Sec Nielsen’s claims about 4K terrorists apprehended at ‘border’, was debunked with most intercepted at airports not the southern border, looks like only 6 yes SIX people who were on govts watch list some ‘crisis’ !

There is a POTUS prime time address (9 pm Tue),at which it is expected he declares a national emergency in order build the wall,so far only Fox and CNN have agreed carry it, with the broadcast networks (ABC/NBC) still deciding.

The ‘food stamps’ or SNAP program which helps feed 38 million low-income and the most vulnerable Americans, will shortly run out of funds.Millions of Americans who depend on govt rental assistance (HUD) are also facing increased housing uncertainty and quite possibly evictions.
