Saoirse Ronan
On The Late Late Show…
Sarah Whiteacre writes:
Fresh from presenting an award at the Golden Globes, Saoirse Ronan leads a star-studded line up on tomorrow night’s Late Late Show….
Actor John C. Reilly and comedian Steve Coogan will be chatting to Ryan about their new biopic, Stan and Ollie
Padraig Harrington – unveiled this week as European Captain for the 2020 Ryder Cup – joins Ryan to discuss his plans for continued European domination of the competition
We will be asking four of Ireland’s most successful young people about life in your twenties in Ireland today. Michael Conlan, the former Irish Olympic boxer who recently won the first title of his professional career; Barry Keoghan, the Irish actor who is one of two Irish people to make the BAFTA Rising Star shortlist; Ellen Coyne, a Senior Journalist at The Times Ireland and Rosie Connolly, one of Ireland’s leading fashion, beauty and lifestyle bloggers.
The Late Late Show on RTÉ One at 9.35pm.

Partridge and Tubridy face to face. Finally..
..as long as they don’t get in the way of Saoirse.
Sports Casual meets Remus at Galvin Menswear.
Your finest moment, Eoin.
The bar was set very low…in fairness.
His poem earlier was charming.
Not trying to be funny but…of the 4 twenty-somethings they have on talking about what it’s like to be in your twenties in Ireland, only (maybe) one of them has what you would call a “normal 9-5 job. The others are a blogger, a boxer, and an actor. All successful I’m sure, but hardly representative of Irish people in their twenties.
Should appeal to the Angry Left then. They hate “normies”.
“I hear the secrets that you keep.”
That was weird.
In the main, unless home for the weekend, and only then because needled by the mammy, I expect Irish people in their twenties don’t give a fiddlers fluck how they are represented.
Saoirse Ronan is a talented and successful film star, but does not have an interesting personality. I shan’t be watching the Late Late.
This kind of anonymous vaccuous sniping is just what the internet was made for. Excellently done.
The fact that Saoirse Ronan has a personality of any sort is a surprise to me. I shall watch, just to check if any signs of one are popping through.
Howz that dear?
…you could give her a couple of yours…so…
Robustly sane but socially unfiltered is my tee shirt.
You?
Pretentious little Madam who is already playing Irish Emma Watson, booooo
Helluva line-up in fairness.
Being a ‘No a Tubbs Fan’ I will not be watching. but I must admit Saoirse is one of the funniest people I have ever seen on a chat show. I think she is a great actress, but an even better person!
I really like Saoirse. She’s charming.
Saw her interviewed by Ellen de Generes last year and she was very funny, and handled herself beautifully.
I think she’s on it every week.
How she doesn’t flip completely when they ask her over and over about how to pronounce her name is beyond me.
