      I never thought of checking that! I think I have been to 9, maybe 10. Courtesy mostly of a visit to the Philippines a few years back, which has more islands than you can shake a stick at :)

        There is a continent of Australia and the country of Australia which are not the same thing. The continent includes Papau New Guinea. Seems like a big island to me.

          Where do you stop? Greenland is 2.2 million km²
          Australia (7.7 million km²)
          Antarctica? (14 million km²)
          Is the landmass that comprises north, central and south America an ‘island’ (40+ million km²).
