Brussels, Belgium.

Taoiseach Leo Vardkar and hooch-soaked, perpetually inappropriate European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker discuss Brexit and backstop.

Fluff his hair.

who are standing up for us at the moment? can’t we stand up for ourselves?

German factory orders have dropped 7% year on year. That’s the biggest drop since 2012. Guess what German manufacturers will be saying to Angela Merkel?
The U.K is one of Germany’s biggest markets, put it this way, we are a blip compared to the U.K market.

I voted Remain – I’ve got family in The North, farmers who’ve benefited – The Single Farm Supplement Payment – it’s what keeps small farms alive. My neighbour had 120 milking cows, he lost 6p per litre of milk to produce. He had over-produced to his quota from The EU. The over-produced milk goes to a “Well of Milk” – what?

I remember back in the seventies the EEC as they used to call it had cheese and butter “mountains” and periodically the Irish government would hand out cheese and butter to us plebs.

The complaints about the CAP (Comoon Agricultural Policy) always seem to forget what it’s core goals are: affordable food for European citizens and a fair standard of living for it’s farmers – I don’t have a problem with this.
