Seems legit.

And by ‘legit’ we do mean ‘sketchy as get out’.

From Ireland?! When did this do the rounds? Nobody told me about it. Now I’m the only eejit who didn’t sign. Great.

I assumed ‘Dove, Scooby and Little Boo’ might be teddies or dolls but yes, pets work as well.Did her teacher help her with this?

With kids being given all kinds of y’neequ’e and speshulle names (Abcde, pron Abcidy) they could have been her classmates.

Its radio gold. She is all in with the agenda.
I wonder if that is a font or her hand writing?

I thought this move yesterday was really crass.

Here we are coming across as being calm & controlled about the whole thing….letting our next door neighbours continue to make themselves look like idiots…..then unnecessary foolery like this. in such a serious situation.

Dunno who’s bright idea it was but it felt embarrassing to watch.

    Crass propaganda.
Nary a mention of rapefugees nor chlorinated chicken.
No mention of funding the NHS nor the colour of her passport.
Just bitter jibes at this delicate time for Queen and Country.
What a sad, twisted world she lives in.

I expect that within the 3d chess game of British politics, safety plans are in place post no deal Brexit as the the monarchy may be toppled but yes, do carry on… hard ball being played by all sides… especially Corybn.

      1. deluded

Oh lordy no, no chance at all of them ditching the royals.
Corbyn is staying shtum because this is the Tory’s disaster, no point in slopping about with them at this stage, wait until it all shakes out is the smart move.

That’s pure cringe, even if well meant.

She was on with Joe Duffy calling a guy who took a somewhat opposing view “Darling”.

I like to do that online to annoy people. I’d probably punch someone in the face if they tried it in real life. Myself included.

      1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

Heh. I wonder if it’s possible to punch yourself in the face with force? When not psychotic, I mean.

she’s real? i was mad sure this is the product of Leos spin unit. A printed card, saying she’s not political, yet knows all the terminology and to even know ‘agenda’ and how the word is used in political discourse, talking of ‘customs unions’ etc. etc., then the twee sign-off from her and her dogs. Just does not seem possibly real. Well she’ll be straight up to the head table in YFG thats for sure. Another little jerk in the making.

Heard her on the wireless with Joe. Her fluffy, smug little attempt at world peace was torn limb from limb by some fella who reminded her that Europe didn’t have our back when they made us pay the 67billion to the gamblers/bondholders while holding a gun to our head – “a bomb will go off in Dublin” if we didn’t.

This is horrible. Why is having a dig at England the clever thing to do right now? Leo Varadkar is a thoroughly unlikeable character and whoever thought this was a good idea is badly misguided. Varadkar and Tusk giggling on stage at Englands misfortune is repulsive and I’m sure will be duly noted from the Shankill road to Penzance.
If this does go to a no deal Leo and the rest of these halfwits better hope the British spare us their wrath.

    1. Rep

This sort of outlook is more pathetic than the woman who thought it a good idea to send that letter in.

    2. Mrs. May

We’ve had 800 years of their wrath you clown, we’re still standing. The British will be on their knees crying for decent trade deals with Europe and the US come April.

      1. Alex Francis

Typical ‘poor mouth’ Irish tripe. We have not had 800 years of British wrath. One could say Ireland has enjoyed 800 years of Benevolence from our powerful neighbours and only a handful of times have we been subject to the masters whip.
Don’t get ahead of yourself thinking it’s our turn for that whip hand. Ireland will be offered a deal from the dries in Westminster. If socks & Co. in Kildare street decide to bite that hand (and they will because they are under instruction from their European masters. Something our bold friends in England have had quite enough of!) Paddy will feel the heat of the whip come Fools day.

    1. Dhaughton99

She paid €11 through moonpig.co.uk but didn’t have enough money to send Leo one. No word of a lie.

  8. T Oylett

bitter, stupid commentary on this from halfwits

this is a genius move from both Varadkar and Hailey

Juncker will never forget getting this card

Where’s his card from Theresa May?

    1. Termagant

Parliament’s still trying to decide whether to sign it “Love, Theresa” or just “From Theresa”

  9. Giggidygoo

So, she sent a card to Juncker, saw it on the TV last night, and phoned the Joe Duffy Show? Now, did it really happen like that. I doubt it.
One thing to remember about the JDS is that they’re are precluded from initiating the contact. They are precluded from making the first move. Being suspicious of the Leo (supposedly defunct) machine, this was i believe a set up.
So, did she make contact to tell Duffy that she sent this card? If so – why?
Something doesn’t add up. Hopefully Cian will come along and put my mind at rest.

    1. SOQ

This has ‘cute’ Leo stamped all over it and Joe Duffy is the most cynical (overpaid?) broadcaster on the Island.

For the first time ever Ireland is stronger than Britain.

Even the Provos never claimed that and they forced a draw without any help from the then ROI anti IRA state.

Jeez, how low can you go, another own goal for Socky.

“Hailey Kierse (38), originally from Clare but now living in Killiney, south Co Dublin, said she had “absolutely no agenda” in sending the card and and had not even heard of Mr Juncker when she posted her letter care of the European Commission in Brussels.
She sent it from herself, her husband Dave and their two dogs Scooby, a miniature Jack Russell, and Little Boo, a Chihuahua-Jack Russell cross. Both were rescue dogs.”

There is a Hailey Kierse Twitter page, same person? If so the list of “Following” makes for interesting reading.

Missed the chance for a caption competition lads.
‘Yeah we slipped in an Aldi voucher there for there while we were at it. You have Aldis in Luxembourg, right?’
