Not a fan of Healy Rae by any means but he wasn’t wrong in pointing out the hypocrisy of the ‘labour’ party.
The look on Howlin’s face says it all really, they would prefer to just quietly pretend FG wasn’t the only party in power during those years.
Also, I see zero issue with him wearing his hat in the chamber, not sure why people get so animated over such things?
A gentleman doesn’t wear his hat indoors.. it’s just one of things.. a hangover from another time perhaps but it still jars. As for Labour.. it would be better if they just faded away
Howlin was right that members can’t refer to other members as “hypocrites”, but it was beautiful to see Catherine Connolly in the chair mischievously pretending ignorance about that rule. And to see the wounded look on Howlin’s face when his point of order was rejected.

The Labour Party must think if they jump on every bandwagon we will forget that they are as responsible for all our failing public services as FG and FF.
The sad thing is if a member of the Labour Party is humble enough to speak to you they actually believe that they saved the country.
